His Hands Church is a non-denominational Christian ministry with humble origins. It has grown from a modest congregation holding services in a former K-Mart into a well-regarded member of the Woodstock, Georgia faith community. In a spirit of prayer, forgiveness, and love, His Hands Church divides 10 percent of its weekly church support collections among three deserving local nonprofit organizations. One of the beneficiaries of the church’s generosity is Papa’s Pantry.

Introduction

Based in Cherokee County, Georgia, Papa’s Pantry is a Christian assistance program that provides eligible clients with food assistance while also bringing Christian ministry to clients and their families. Due to such high-impact issues as unemployment, under-employment, foreclosure, unforeseen medical expenses, and rising costs of living, over 20 percent of Georgia residents are estimated to be in need of food assistance. For the last 14 years, Papa’s Pantry has provided not only food support to these individuals and families, but also spiritual outreach and moral support.
