All our devices are manufactured in our factory in Italy and our engineering team follows all the steps of the project, allowing us to reach a very high level both in terms of quality and reliability.

GPE products are used for different fields of application , mainly for railways, subways, airports, hospitals, power plants, oil and gas platforms and a great variety of industrial processes. Since 2000,

GPE has built and installed more than 7000 devices and more than 80 % of these were distributed abroad, in particular in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Mexico, the Far East and the CIS.

Most of our success comes also from the close working relationship we establish with our customers, always putting their needs first.

Our technical staff in continuous training provides a significant support to choose the best possible solution, so that the final product meets the exact specifications required.

Furthermore, we have always paid special attention to any kind of technological innovation that allows us and our customers to save energy resources , improve efficiency and reduce the environmental impact, carefully selecting the components and devices preferring EEU.

aC/aC Converters

our range of AC / AC converters can be divided into 3 parts:

• AC / AC avionics converters from 10 to 300 kvA• AC / AC frequency converters from 5 to 1600kvA• AC / AC converters for renewable energy

aC / aC avionics converters from 10 to 300 kva

The F2K series are designed with a standard output of 208 vac, 400 Hz, three-phase (480 or 575vac available on request) and are mainly used to provide power to aircraft during ground operations and during service / maintenance. They are compliant with ISo 6858, MIl-STD-704 and en 2282. A 28vDC power rectifier can be added inside the unit (dimensioned by the customer) and it is normally used in combination with a 400Hz power converter to feed the aircraft during ground operations.

aC / aC frequency converters from 5 to 1600kva

The F1K series are mainly used for applications in which the input and output parameters (voltage and / or frequency) are different and are customizable for all special applications. They are equipped with output transformers to ensure full isolation between network and load.

aC / aC converters for renewable energy

The F1K-rG series are mainly used in renewable energy plants. The complete range is based on a modular design. The basic module consists of a 100 or 200kW power frame which can be paralleled up to 5 units. The 100kW power frame is CeI-021 certified and the 250kW module is CeI-016 certified. These allow the customer to sell energy back to the grid (according to Italian rules and regulations).Using this configuration it is possible to build a 1.25MW power system from a single mainframe. This static unit has been designed to be supplied from a variable speed alternator. This enables the customer to maximize the efficiency of the overall system even when the input frequency is far below the nominal. As these units can be supplied from a varying frequency, it is possible to use these systems on hydroelectric, biogas or variable speed diesel engines and OrC based power recovery systems. The F1K-rG series can also operate when disconnected from the commercial using energy produced onsite. This unit has the latest SvM digital control which enables it to be configured to suit a wide range of customer’s requirements and specification. F1K-rG unit is also equipped with an isolating output transformer to ensure it complies with the latest standards whilst still following our policy on safety and reliability.

aC/dC Converters

our AC / DC converters (rectifiers power) are mainly used for industrial applications and test systems.

The range is the following:

• Thyristor rectifiers for industrial applications or electrochemical applications (voltage from 0 to 900vdc, current up to 20kA and power up to 2MvA).

• High voltage thyristor rectifiers for railway test equipment (output voltage adjustable from 0 to 4800vdc and power up to 1MvA).

• Thyristor rectifiers / battery chargers for emergency applications (typical 110vdc with current up to 1000A). • Thyristor rectifiers and chopper regulators for motor test benches with an adjustable output voltage from 0 to

800vdc and power up to 500kW.

dC/aC Inverter

our DC/AC inverters are mainly used in power stations or in industrial sites (where a DC supply is already available) to supply auxiliary equipment.

F1K-DC systems are produced from 10 to 150kva with an input voltage range of 50 to 900vdc and a fully configurable output voltage and frequency to suit the load. These units are designed to operate in harsh environmental conditions such as Oil & Gas platforms, refineries or power plants.

Continuity and availability of power even in the most critical applications

statIC transfer swItChes (sts)

STS (static transfer switches) are used for no-break transfers between two different power sources in order to supply the load without interruption when the main source fails.

These devices can be manufactured for single or three phase applications and can transfer between the two sources in less 5 mSec. Our STS are manufactured from 16 to 250a for the single phase units and from 32 to 6000a for the three phase units. STS are mainly used for data center applications to ensure a more reliable power source to feed servers and computer mainframes.

UPs- UnInterrUPtIble Power sUPPly

The Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is designed to provide power to the load while keeping the parameters of voltage and frequency output within the limits of adjustment.

Our T2K series are designed for heavy duty rugged environments applications suited for chemical plants , refineries, power substation , airports and railways stations.

The units give a full insulation of the critical load from the mains in order to ensure a full power availability and reliability over an heavy polluted mains line supply , protecting the load from mains dip, sags and heavy harmonic disturbance.

In addition to the design and construction of customized UPS, we also have a

wide range of standard UPS fully digitally controlled, designed to protect various

types of loads.

All ranges are extremely efficient, thus ensuring high yields and low operating

costs.

These devices are suitable for the home and office but especially for applications

requiring high reliability.

Integrated test systems

Our team has a huge experience in the development of test systems and laboratory tests for motors and transformers.We made test-labs for transformers up to 380 kv and power ratings up to 400 MvA.

The specificity of these applications is unique and the study and the design have as input the specifications of the customer. The result is a fully customized realization that can meet the real needs of the customer.
