HEXPOL Compounding is one of the world’s leading suppliers in the development
and manufacture of advanced, high quality polymer compounds and is also active
in the TPE market via ELASTO and Müller Kunststoffe.
HEXPOL Compounding is a member of HEXPOL AB, a Swedish Company listed on

HEXPOL Compounding and HEXPOL Engineered Products, and has production
units in nine countries. The business areas operate in separate market segments.

HEXPOL Compounding offers customers advanced rubber and TPE compounds.

Rubber compounds are semi-finished products and can be seen as homogenous
mixtures of different ingredients that have previously been defined in a specific
formulation or “recipe”. These ingredients, or raw materials, can be subdivided into
the following categories: polymers, fillers, plasticizers, accelerators, cross-linking
agents and many other special products. Only the right composition and a perfect
mixing process result into optimum properties of the final product.
Customers are manufacturers of polymer components who impose rigorous
demands on quality and delivery capacity.
TPEs, or Thermoplastic Elastomers, are a family of rubber like materials that com-
bine the performance of thermoset rubbers with the processing ease of plastics,
to deliver enhanced design possibilities for a diverse range of markets including
household, automotive, industrial, medical, construction, electronics, sports, toys and
caps & closures.
MarketsHEXPOL Compounding comprises rubber product manufacturers who place
high demands on performance and global delivery capabilities. The largest market
segment is the automotive industry followed by building & construction. Other key
segments are numerous consumer and industrial markets, aerospace, energy and
oil, water treatment, wire and cable, performance additives, roll covering and the
tire market.

QualityAll HEXPOL Compounding plants are ISO 9001 certified.
Through close monitoring of process performance, all members of the personnel
are committed to improve the performance and effectiveness of the quality
management system with the goal to achieve the highest level of product and
service quality. Highly automated production processes store relevant data from
each process step, such as raw material data, mixing parameters and final control
of the products. These data are available online and used to control process and
product performance. Each plant is equipped with a production control laboratory
performing extensive testing.
