Materials: Cascade Yarns® Cherub DK 55% Nylon/45% Acrylic 50 g (1.75 oz) / 180 yds (165 m) 9 skeins of Color #28 (Boy Blue) Crochet hook size G (or /4.00mm), yarn needle to hide loose strands Yarn Needle

Gauge: 20 sts x 12 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Honeycomb Stitch

Abbreviations: Bpdc = Back Post Double Crochet Ch = Chain Dc = Double Crochet Fptr = Front Post Treble Crochet Sc = Single Crochet Sk = Skip St(s) = Stitch(es)

Notes: Ch 2 at the beginning of each row; turn at the end of each row. Even rows will have the front side facing. Turning ch does not count as a stitch in the stitch count. Do not skip the first st of each row.

Pattern: Ch 139 Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Row 2: * Dc in 2 sts, 4 st cable (sk 2 sts, fptr in next 2 sts, working in front of last 2 sts, fptr in 2 skipped sts), dc in next 2 sts, 8 st wheat cable (sk 2 sts, fptr in next 2 sts, working in back of last 2 sts, fptr in 2 skipped sts; sk 2 sts, fptr in next 2 sts, working in front of last 2 sts, fptr in 2 skipped sts), dc in next 2 sts, 4 st cable (see above), dc in next 2 sts,** [honeycomb cable (sk 2 sts, fptr in next 2 sts, working in back of last 2 sts, fptr in 2 skipped sts; sk 2 sts, fptr in next 2 sts, working in front of last 2 sts, fptr in 2 skipped sts)] 4 times. Rows 6 - 89: Repeat Rows 2-5 for 21 times more, or until the blanket reaches desired size.

Border

Row 1: Continuing from Row 89, and with right side facing, ch 1, * sc in each st across row. Turn 90 degrees to work along row ends, ch 1, sc in same st as last sc to form corner. Work 2 sc in each row end. Turn 90 degrees, ch 1, sc in same st as last sc to form corner. Repeat from * once more. Join with a slip st to first st of round.

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining. * Sk 2 sts, [4 dc, ch 3, slip st in top of last dc to form picot, 4 dc] in next st, sk 2 sts, sc in next st, ch 3, slip st in top of last sc to form picot, sc in next st. Repeat from * around blanket. Note: Feel free to adjust the number of stitches in between shells as needed to form corners of the blanket. Finishing: Finish off. Hide loose strands using a yarn needle.
