Controlled Landfills of Municipal solid waste and non-hazardous HERA was created with a view to recovery the environment, rehabilitation and carrying out the thorough final treatment of urban and industrial waste, avoiding adverse environmental impacts. With this in mind, the construction and operation of controlled landfills has been one of the final disposal activities implemented most frequently, developing technologies and applying innovate management practices worldwide.

Hazardous Waste Transfer Facilities These facilities provide hazardous waste transportation and bring together and facilitate the handling of small amounts of waste generated by small producers. Both the paint and solvent recovery plant and the precious metal recovery plant offer their customers transfer services in addition to their main activities. HERA currently has plants in: Madrid, Toledo, Palencia, Seville, Galicia, Gijon (Spain) and Coronel (Chile).
