Timeline for Certified Enrollment Entity (CEE) and Certified Enrollment Counselor (CEC) Process

2 days 4 days 6 days 10 days 15 days 20 days 25 days

CEE Submits Application

CEE application approved

CEE receives email regarding CEE Mgmt. Webinar training

CEE completes Mgmt. Webinar training online ( CEE should complete in 30 days – but here lets assume CEE finishes the training immediately )

CEE is Active

CEC receives email with Login information for Learning Management System (LMS) ( 3-5 business days after CEE application Submission )

CEC login to LMS and registers for their ILT Session

CEC completes 2.5 days ILT training

CEC completes CoveredCA.com training and passes the exam

CEC submits the criminal disclosure form by mail to Covered California and provides fingerprinting at the available LiveScan locations ( Will take up to 2 weeks to receive the Approval report )

CEC will be certified if they meet all the requirements 1. Must pass CEC exam 2. Must clear background 3. CEC agreement must be on file 4. CEE must be Active

CEC logs into LMS to 1. Complete Survey 2. Take CBT course 3. Complete Exam

CEC will receive an email from Covered California reg. process to acquire CEC badges.

Purpose- Locate Assistance

• The purpose of the locate assistance

tool is to locate in-person help from

certified enrollment counselors,

certified agents and county service

agencies.

• The purpose of the Certified Enrollment Counselor Verification system is to provide the public with a quick way to determine whether or not an individual or organization has valid certification with Covered California to provide In-Person Enrollment Assistance.

Which tool to use

• Do not utilize the Verification System to search for Certified Enrollment Entities or Counselors.

• The public should be directed to the locate assistance tool to find Counselors in their area.

button on the bottom right of the screen.

The home page offers information about the verification process, a

prominent button to Search Online Registry and also a tab for the same in

the menu bar.

The versatile search options allow you to search by:

CEC Name (first, last or both)

Certification # (full or partial)

CEE Name

County

A combination of the above fields can be used to refine the search.

CEC Name, CEC Status, Certification Number, Certification Date, Name of Entity, and Counties served.

Additional filters are provided for each field, if the search result returns a large number of CECs.

Covered California Verification System, provides a phone number of the

HOW TO CHECK MY RESULTS?

How do I check my results? How do I check my results? A 24-hour Automated Telephone Service is available from the Department of Justice at

(916) 227-4557.

If a requesting agency does not have results yet and digital Live Scan fingerprints

were submitted, you can use the automated telephone system to check on your

submission. You will need the following information:

1. Your date of birth

2. The 10-digit Automated Transaction Identifier (ATI) number that appears at the

bottom of the Department of Justice form requesting Live Scan fingerprint

background checks.

3. The ATI number always appears in the following sequence:

o 1 Letters

o 3 Numbers

o 3 Letters

o 3 Numbers
