According to the 2014 MasterCard Global Destination Cities Index, Joburg expects to attract a total of 4.3 million overnight visitors

this year. Looking back at Hello Joburg’s 2014 issues it’s easy to see just how “vibrant, warm and friendly”

our city is (as described in a Q and A with the City of Johannesburg).

Here are some of the highlights: We interviewed dynamic chefs, performers and entrepreneurs like David Higgs, Pete-Goffe

Wood, Rocco de Villiers, and a true South African brand, Nandos, amongst others. We reviewed new restaurant openings such as Beluga, Remo’s Maximilliano, Social on Main, Perron, Royal India, Vicky Cristina’s, A La Bouffe, to name but a few.
