Hair conditioner warning

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is investigating complaints of hair loss, hair breakage, balding, itchingand rash after using WEN by Chaz Dean Cleansing Conditioners. There have been 127 reports to the FDA and21,000 complaints to the company.

The conditioner comes in several varieties. Products most often reported to cause reactions were sweet almondmint, lavender and pomegranate.

Anyone who has used the products and had hair loss or other reactions should contact their health careprovider. Report reactions to the FDA at http://bit.ly/29LKvta or call 800-332-1088.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products.Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports ofharm to CPSC's searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food andmedical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.

Strollers

Units: About 217,600

Hazard: The front wheel can fall off, posing crash and fall hazards.

Description: Recalled are Instep and Schwinn swivel wheel jogging strollers for one or two children. They havea quick release mechanism for removing and re-attaching the front wheel. The model numbers of the affectedstrollers can be found at http://bit.ly/2aN5o8s.

Sold at: Small retailers nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Target.com, Toys-R-Us.com, Walmart.com andother online retailers from January 2010 through June 2016 for $130 to $350.

Hazard: The locking mechanism can open unexpectedly, posing a fall hazard.

Description: Recalled safety gates and safety gate extensions are white and made of beech wood or steel andplastic. Hazard: The monitor's batteries can overheat, swell and expand and cause the battery cover to open or comeoff. This can expose hot batteries, posing a burn hazard.

Description: Recalled are Lorex Care 'N' Share video baby monitors with model numbers WL3520, WL4320 orWL3401. Numbers are printed on the back panel of the monitor. Sold in bundles with cameras, the monitorscontain a blue lithium polymer battery.

Sold at: Babies "R" Us, B&H, Best Buy, Target, The Home Depot, Wal-Mart and online at www.amazon.comand www.lorextechnology.com from May 2013 through April 2016. The video baby monitors were sold inbundles for $60 to $140.

Clog removing products

Hazard: Bottles are not child-resistant, and children can remove the top, posing a risk of chemical burns, skinand eye irritation.

Description: Recalled are three Liquid Plumr clog removing products in 17-ounce bottles: Pro-StrengthFoaming Clog Fighter, formerly sold as Slow Flow Fighter (UPC Code 44600-00214); Pro-Strength Urgent Clear(UPC Code 44600-30548); and Industrial Strength Urgent Clear (UPC Code 44600-31484).

Sold at: Dollar, grocery, hardware and mass merchandise stores nationwide and online from January 2012through May 2016 for $3 to $5.

Hazard: The clear surface coating on the bracelets and necklaces contains lead, which may be toxic if youngchildren put it in their mouths.

Description: Recalled are silver heart bracelets and sweet charm necklaces for children. The 6-inch, silver-plated bracelets have 10 silver hearts and circle links, a lobster claw clasp, and one silver heart-shaped charm.The necklaces are gold plated on a 13-inch box chain with a 2-inch extender, a lobster claw closure and threecharms - a pink ice cream cone, a pink crystal cupcake and a gold-plated tag with " SWEET" engraved.

Zolpidem Tartrate sublingual tablets

Units: About 5,700 boxes of 30 blister packs

Hazard: The packaging for this prescription drug is not child-resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if children openthe package and swallow the medicine.

Description: Recalled are 1.75 mg and 3.5 mg Zolpidem Tartrate sublingual (rapid dissolve) tablets from NovelLaboratories. The prescription medication is a sleep drug. The packaging for the 1.75 mg tablets has lot numberM16140A, 1.75 mg and national drug code (NDC) 43386-762-30. The packaging for the 3.5 mg tablets has lotnumber M16144A, 3.5mg and national drug code (NDC) 43386-761-30. The Zolpidem Tartrate is packaged as asingle tablet in a peel-and-push blister pack inside an outer open-ended pouch with 30 pouches per box. The lotnumber and an expiration date of 02/2018 are printed on the bottom left of the pouches.

Sold at: Clinics and pharmacies nationwide from March through May for about $800 per box of 30 tablets.

The 100% cotton, sack-shaped baby swaddles and sleeping bags weresold in small, medium and large sizes and in cream with multicolored hand prints, mint and pastel colors/prints.They have a snap button on each shoulder. The logo and model number are stamped at the bottom inside thegarments.

Remedy: Stop using furniture that is not anchored properly to the wall and place it into an area that childrencannot access. Contact the company or the store where purchased for a free counterweight repair kit and wallanchor. A free in-home installation of the repair kit is available.
