Safe2Tell Colorado provides students and adults in Colorado communities and schools an increased ability toboth prevent and report violence and other concerning behaviors by making a safe, ANONYMOUS report.
Through education and awareness efforts, Safe2Tell Colorado encourages and empowers bystanders to speak upwhen they have a concern about their safety or the safety of others.

February is Teen Dating ViolenceAwareness Month
February is National Teen DatingViolence Awareness month to protect teens fromviolence and raise awareness.
According to “loveisrespect,” a project of theNational Domestic Violence Hotline and Breakthe Cycle, nearly 1.5 million high schoolstudents nationwide experience physical abusefrom a dating partner in a single year. (1) Additionally, 1 in 3 girls in the US is a victim ofphysical, emotional or verbal abuse from a datingpartner, a figure that far exceeds rates of othertypes of youth violence. (2)
Safe2Tell is a resource for those who areexperiencing or witnessing dating or domesticviolence. Remind students that if they know of a

Spots Still Available for FrontRange Middle Schools
Limited number of spots are still available for Colorado Front Range middleschools to participate in efforts to update andexpand the Safe Communities~Safe Schools(SCSS) Model Grant Program.
Eligibility requirements include: support fromschool leadership, willingness to participate asintervention or control group, implementation ofannual school climate surveys, participation intwo 1.5 day trainings per year, and participation ininterviews, classroom observations and feedbacksurveys.
Participating Schools will Receive:
Intensive training, coaching and technicalassistanceComprehensive school climate data andstudentlevel screening and assessmenttoolsTools and resources around monitoringschool climate and safetySocial emotional learning strategies forstaff and studentsTraining and materials for one Blueprintsfor Healthy Youth Development programThe opportunity to participate in aCommunity with other schools and districts$1,000 stipend for years in the controlgroup
