You can have two free hard waste services per financial year. Choose:
No more than 2m long, 1m high and 1m wideUse a voucher to drop off material at:
Contact NAWMA to book a service at least four (4) weeks before collection. And/or:
Resource Recovery Centre (Public Waste Transfer Station) Gate 3 Bellchambers Road, Edinburgh North Open Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm • Weekends 9am - 3pm. Or: 63 - 75 Research Road, Pooraka Open 8am - 4pm 7 days a week. Note: both sites are closed New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Anzac Day and Christmas Day.

Items suitable for hard waste collection Furniture including mattresses and carpets (must be rolled up).
Refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, dishwashers & small kitchen appliances.
Domestic household Items: e.g. toys, bikes, empty clean paint tins (with lids removed), car rims (not tyres) and other scrap metal.
Electronic items (anything with a cord).
Timber no longer than 2m & free of nails.
Cardboard flattened & tied in bundles of 10 or less.
Note: Items must be able to be picked up by two people.
Items NOT suitable for hard waste collection Green waste.
Hazardous waste (e.g. asbestos, chemicals).
Car bodies/car parts.
Broken glass.
Ammunition, explosives or gas bottles.
Paint tins containing wet paint.
Construction/building materials, rocks or dirt.
Electronic items (anything with a cord) can be dropped off at the Resource Recovery Centre for free, any time of the year.

• All items should be placed for collection before 7am on the pickup day.
• Collection is between 7am and sunset.
• Items must be neatly stacked inside of your property boundary, not on the verge.
• Small items can be placed together in cardboard boxes.
• The amount of material should not exceed 2 cubic metres.
Please remember:• You must book at least four weeks ahead.
