THINGS ARE CHANGING IN THE MOOSE: At the California Nevada - CA/NV As-
sociation Convention, the bylaws were changed to INCLUDE Women of the
Moose as members. Women are now equal partners in the CA/NV Association,
which means the Senior Regent and Recorder are now members of the 11th Dis-
trict board and will be required to attend District and Association meetings. All
Lodge and Chapter members are invited to participate, Next meeting 20 Oct - 1
pm, Paso Robles Lodge. . **If you want further information, give me a call at
(805) 264-0788. This does NOT change current Santa Maria Lodge 719 and
Chapter 463 operations.
Future changes for Moose Organizations will be discussed in the coming years
In November in Orlando FL., Moose International is having a Town Hall meeting
to discuss MAJOR changes in the Moose Organization concerning the status of
Men (Lodge) and Women (Chapter) roles in the future Moose Organization.

Greetings Members:
Welcome all members current, new and returning. Thank you to the members who volunteered and hosted events, it's not an easy job to do these. We all have families, jobs and functions we enjoy. We are always in need of volunteers and events to strengthen our lodge and community. Many of us have had the opportunity to attend Cali / Nevada conference in which we are now a "Joint Association". There will be changes as they are ironed out in the coming months. The dis-trict meetings are important to us as this is where Senior Regents and Recorders will now have a vote. The next District meeting will be in Paso Robles October 20th (officers 1 p.m. Social 2 p.m).
I am having chili verde on the 18th for women's dinner please come join us. Tri tip sandwich sales September 13th went well. Thank you. Our membership is important, new applications are welcome, just a reminder we do have online applications now new members are entitled to a free women's Friday night dinner after attending orientation with Sarah Cortez.
Prayers go out to the many whom are ill, send by loss and everyday stresses. Children's Hallow-een party will be October 24th watch for information on entrance boards and sign ups. We are also in need of candy and small prize donations for this event . The women's Christmas in Octo-ber is to raise money hosted by Junior Regent Ramona Perales. We must all pull together to make it work. I am going to pursue volunteers to organize our storage room this month to tidy up our supplies, I will post a day or two on our entrance Bulletin please come join in, you may also call me at 805-714-6921. In closing I wish you all good health, peace and happiness.
Sincerely,
Kathy Williams Senior Regent
