Halal Meat – What To Have And What Not To?

Pork – The meat of pig is haram as per the muslim shariah. Even if the pig isslaughtered as per the muslim sharia process, it is considered haram and is notto be consumed.

Carnivores – The meat coming from the carnivores or prey birds is consideredHaram for the muslims.

Carcasses of Dead – Food prepared from the meat of the already dead animalis also considered to be haram. The animal has to be alive and thenslaughtered traditionally to be called as Halal.

Blood – In the process of Halal the blood is drained out completely once thethroat of the animal is slit because blood of the animal is called Haram.

Alcohol – The one beverage that is banned by the muslim shariah isalchohol. Hence, even while cooking halal meat if alcohol is added, themeat is considered haram.

Savaged, beaten, strangulated – If the animal is beaten up to death orsavaged or is strangulated to death, then the meat of such an animal isconsidered to be haram.

Allah’s name not taken – As the shariah’s halal procedure suggeststhat Allah’s name has to be taken by the muslim Halal Butcher priorthe animal’s throat is slit, if the process is done without taking thename of Allah then this kind of meat is considered haram
