GENERAL INFORMATION Ice Make Refrigeration System

Ice Make Refrigeration Limited is situated at 226, Dantali Industrial Estate, Gota-

Vadsar Road AT Dantali, Tal. Kalol, District Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad Gujarat,

India. Established by Mr. Chandrakant Patel is a Managing Director of the

company in 1989. Ice Make Refrigeration Limited is manufacturing, Trading,

Importer and Exporter of Cooling Systems and Accessories such as cold room, visi

cooler, chilling plant, refrigerated container, dairy machinery, ice cream

machinery, blast chillers and freezers, deep freezer, bottle cooler, refrigeration

unit, cold room evaporator unit, cold room condensing unit, cold room control

panels, vertical freezer, milk cooler, ice candy manufacturing plant, under

counter refrigeration etc.

Currently approximate 500 employees are working at Ice Make. This company is

ISO 9001:2008 & BS OHSAS 18001:2007 certified company. Key customers of this

company are

Engi Expo 2018

In addition to company visit students went to visit Engi Expo 2018 held during

10,11,12 February, 2018 at AES ground, Ahmedabad. It is an exhibition of various

machine tools and its equipments.

PURPOSE OF VISIT

Our main purpose of this visit is to familiarize the students of 6th semester with

industrial environment and to get practical knowledge of refrigeration system.

Students would get opportunity to see various equipments of refrigeration

system and its function. They also get aware about manufacturing process of

various refrigeration units like chilling plant, refrigerated container, dairy

machinery, ice cream machinery, blast chillers and freezers, deep freezer, bottle

cooler, refrigeration unit, cold room evaporator unit, cold room condensing unit,

cold room control panels, vertical freezer, milk cooler, ice candy manufacturing

plant, under counter refrigeration etc.

Furthermore, in Engi Expo 2018 students would get opportunity to see exhibition

of various machine tools and its equipments.

WHAT WE LEARNT?

Students come to know about specifications and manufacturing process of

various refrigeration system at Ice Make Refrigeration Limited as per the

following.

Technical Specifications Of Puf Panels:

Thickness : 60, 80, 100,125 &150 mm

Surface Material Gl Pre-Painted Sheet, S.S. Sheet (Grade 304/316), Gl Plain

Sheet, Galvanium. (Inside & Outside different metal can be placed as per

your requirement).

Floor:

For Kota stone or Concrete floor, Puf Slab with both side tar felt coated.

For Kota stone or Concrete floor, both side metal surface panel in which

each side fits with cam lock and prevent temperature loss.

Aluminium Chequered Plate with Marine Ply.

FRP Cladding on floor.

DOOR :

Flush Type : Swing Door with FRP Profile, Imported Hardware, Push Type Gasket

& replaceable heater for easy door operation & long life.

Size : 24"x66",30"x72",34"x78",45"x84" (Door Opening W x H).

Over Lap Type: Teak wood frame with metal covering by using heavy duty

hardware for better strength.

Size : 45"x84",49"x84",54"x84", 60"X90" (Door Opening W x H).

Sliding Door: Ice makes Sliding Doors are very easy to operate, greater in

efficiency, better in performance. Also, In terms of safety, long service Life,

and smooth in operation.

Technical Specifications of Refrigerated Container:

Type of Construction: Heavy structure with Pre-Fabricated Sandwich Panels

with Cam-Lock on all sides, All panels fit together by Cam-Lock, so

container becomes air-tight fit

Wall Thickness: Insulated wall thickness 80mm (Small Vehicle), 100mm

(Mini Truck) & 125mm (Heavy Loading Truck)

Surface Material: Outside Pre-coated GI sheet Skin with Thickness 0.8 mm

or S.S. grade 304 with Thickness 0.5mm and Inside Pre-coated GI sheet Skin

CONCLUSION

Through this visit, students gained information and practical knowledge about

various components used in Refrigeration System. They have learnt about

construction and working of various refrigeration components like compressor

condenser, evaporator, and expansion devices etc. They have understood how

the inventory management for raw material and finished products is done in

industry. During Engi Expo 2018 student got opportunity to see various industrial

machine tools, its accessories and its working.
