Senior Day ProgramDo you know someone who wants to maintain independence by living at home, but could use some assistance and socialization during the day? Our Senior Day Program may be the answer.

Our program also enables caregivers to take a break while their loved one enjoys activities, good food and new friends.

Activities are abundant! Gentle exercise, art classes, computer classes, musical entertainment, sensory stimulation, pet therapy and much more fill the day. Studies show that isolation and loneliness decrease when seniors participate in an active and enjoyable day program.

We are licensed as an assisted living facility and can provide assistance with personal hygiene and medications, if needed. We also provide delicious meals and nutritious snacks.

Short-Term StaysShort-term stays are an easy way to transition from hospital to home. Experience all the amenities of our assisted living community for a few days, a week or a month. Grand Villa is the perfect place for seniors who are recuperating, but are not yet ready to return home alone. Short-term stays can provide relief for family caregivers, too. Seniors who need assistance can stay with us while a caregiver takes a vacation, attends to other matters, or enjoys a respite from care giving.

The support staff of dedicated professionals includes licensed nurses, a dietitian, chef, executive director, resident assistants and a full-time activities coordinator. Each day includes planned programs and activities to meet the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical needs of our residents.

We provide visiting podiatrists and optometrists, along with on-site home health services. We schedule weekly transportation to local medical appointments, shopping, sports, cultural and entertainment events.

Three delicious and nutritious meals are served in the restaurant-style dining room each day. Snacks and meal menus consider diabetic, low salt, heart healthy and other dietary concerns. Our flexible service plans adapt to individual circumstances.

Personal CareThe difference between our Assisted Living and Personal Care lifestyles is the amount of assistance provided. Personal Care includes 24-hour watchful supervision without invasion of privacy. Resident assistants help with bathing, hygiene, and dressing. Reminders and incontinence care is provided. Our staff nurse provides medical supervision. Unscheduled needs are met any time of the day.

Memory CareGrand Villa offers a specially designed neighborhood where residents are free to explore, touch and choose their own activities, allowing them to live life with a purpose. Our state of the art Memory Care Neighborhood allows freedom of movement in an exit controlled setting.

Our Memory Support® program blends cutting edge technology and the most current research in memory care to create activities specifically for Alzheimer’s. Residents are involved in daily therapeutic and recreational activities such as Dakim® Brain Fitness, music therapy, pet therapy, and sensory stimulation.

A unique component of our Memory Care Neighborhood is Life Skill Stations – or specially designed areas – that spark memories, interest, and interaction for our residents. These stations recreate familiar situations from the past – like a baby nursery, a garden, an office, or a hobby workbench. Residents become socially engaged in these familiar settings, which can sustain their memories, as well as provide them with cognitive exercises and physical movement.

Residents live in private residences, or companion apartments which are comfortable and include many safety features. Each apartment is equipped with state of the art motion sensor lighting, which is activated at night. Special lights are also in the bathroom, which provide a guiding light at night. When a motion sensor is activated, an alert is sent to the caregivers who can then respond, as needed.
