How to register ?Registration is free for students and all members ofGrenoble universities.

Your student card is also your library card, you justhave to activate it at “accueil”, on the ground floor

How to borrow ?Recent literature can be found in the readingrooms, older books and periodicals must be orderedfrom the stack.

You will find a leaflet about the loan period andnumber of items you may borrow.

Use your account on the library catalogue: you mayextend your loans or reserve borrowed items.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all items arereturned in time. If they are overdue your borro-wing privileges will be suspended, temporarily.

Use the self-service machine at the entrance of thelibrary.

Does the library have it ?Use the “Odyssée” catalogue to search for books andother items in the main library and departement libra-ries of Stendhal and Pierre-Mendès-France universities.

Finding and using e-documentationUse one of the 70 computers to find books and articles(references and full text) in databases, to prepare pa-pers and presentations with Open Office and to accessthe internet. Login and password are required.

Library@home You can also access e-resources away from the Libraryby using your login and password.

Interlibrary loansMaterial not available at the university library may beobtained from other French or foreign libraries. This ser-vice is not free.

Internet accessWifi Internet access is available throughout the librarybuilding. Login and password are required.

Still feeling lost ?

Group study rooms 33 study rooms are available in the library for smallgroups from 2 to 8 people. They have to be bookedat the reading room desks.

Photocopying and printing servicesSelf-service photocopiers are located in each readingroom. They operate with a card which can be pur-chased at the card dispenser on the ground floor.

You can use the same card to print from library com-puters (including USB ports). Printing stations are lo-cated on the ground, first and third floors.

SecurityPlease look after your valuables. Don’t leave laptopsor personal items unattended. Use the lockers onthe ground floor.

In the library: Ask for help at the reference desk on the first floor(“salle methodoc”).
