DAVID SCHMID BIOGRAPHY

Although I studied economics at school, it wasnt

until I became a REALTOR that I came to

understand, on a first-hand basis, how real estate

was subject to large and widespread fluctuations in

prices and rents the boom and bust cycle.

In fact, when I started my career as a Century 21

Associate Broker, in 1981, the prime interest rate

was 20.5% and the unemployment rate was 8.1%

and then rose to 10.8%. As a result, the market was

in a bust cycle from the lack of credit and

lethargic demand.

So, the circumstances then are eerily similar to the

environment we have had between 2007 and today.

Well, since my first transaction in 1981, andthrough all the subsequent boom and bust cycles, I

always remained focused on the real estate industry

and successfully completed hundreds and hundredsof residential and commercial real estate

transactions and projects for clients and customers,

enabling each to achieve their personal and

business goals.

Naturally, these accomplishments were not mine

alone. Trusting clients and customers, together with

dedicated colleagues and mentors, helped make

each professional transaction and each personalsuccess possible.

Today, my good fortune continues through my

partnership with my wife Patty. Our business

partnership is uncomplicated because our personal

philosophies are the same. We treat customers the
