Pizza is in Silvio’s blood.  It all started back in Italy as a small boy, where Silvio’sfather owned a bakery that sold the highest quality of bread and pizza dough.

After the death of his father, Silvio took over the family business and made it sosuccessful that they were able to open a second location.  However, America and

its opportunities beckoned to Silvio and his wife, Catia.

Silvio, Catia, and their three children relocated to the United States.  In the beginning,they both worked odd jobs in order to make ends meet, but Silvio’s love for pizzanever wavered.  He missed it so much that he would hold pizza parties at his house,

enlisting his friends and families as critics.  From these humble beginnings, onOctober 26th, 2005, Silvio’s Organic Pizza was born.

By the winter of 2010, the small local business had grown so successful that Silvioand Catia were able to expand, doubling the size of the original location.  Silvio andCatia’s family has expanded as well, to include four children and five grandchildren. Both Silvio and Catia continue to work over 50 hours a week, inspired by their

love and passion for their food and their community.

Silvio’s Organic Ristorante e Pizzeria has created a niche in Ann Arbor bytransforming only the best organic and locally sourced ingredients into original

masterpieces, including their famous vegan and gluten-free selections.  Silvio’s newmenu was designed to maintain a long-standing family tradition of Italian cuisine

combined with a unique opportunity to provide an exceptional Italian diningexperience.

TOWNIE TIPSFootball Saturdays are a BIG DEAL in Ann Arbor. If you plan onattending the game, tailgating, or watching it on TV downtown, great! If football is not your thing, or you don't like large crowds, then Football Saturdays would be a great time to explore thesurrounding towns, like Dexter, Ypsilanti, and Saline.

Michigan weather can sometimes be a little moody. LAYER,LAYER, LAYER your clothing, especially in the spring.

Pedestrians and cyclists have the right of way. Period.

There are over 100 parks and nature reserves in and around the city(hence the nickname "Tree Town"). Spend some time in nature if youcan."Fairy Doors" pop up all around town. See if you can find them all!

Most of all, enjoy your time in Ann Arbor. It's a little city with a bigheart... and a lot of trees.

There is nothing better than Michigan Apple Cider in the fall. Makesure to check out some of the wonderful orchards and cider millslocated just outside of town, like Wiard's or Dexter Cider Mill.

Watch out for one-way streets. They are numerous, especiallydowntown, and it can get confusing if you're not familiar with it.
