DOVER – The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire will celebrate its 31st birthday with a party that all families are invited to on Sunday, September 28 from noon to 5 p.m. The afternoon will include special guests, re- freshments and activities, all in- cluded in the museum’s regular price of admission. Thanks to New Hamp- shire Public Television, popular characters Peg and Cat, who have their own PBS TV show, will visit the museum from 1 to 4 p.m. The characters will be making periodic appearances for hugs, handshakes and high-fives over the world will make their way to NH in the next several weeks to take in the changing scenery of the fall foliage season. The number of fall visitors and their spending will be up 2 percent over last year. About 8.2 million people are expected to visit between now and the end of November, according to the In- stitute for New Hampshire Stud- ies, which compiles the numbers based on spending patterns, gas prices, weather and last year’s activity. They will spend over $1.6 billion. “As we just finished an- other successful summer season for our travel and tourism in- dustry, we look forward to mil- lions more visiting the Granite State for the fall foliage season,” Governor Maggie Hassan said. “With so much to offer – includ- smiths, shoemakers, cabinet- makers and others as they work at their trade or craft, and see how Americans earned their livings more than 200 years ago. DOVER – The Children’s Museum of

New Hampshire will celebrate its 31st birthday with a party that all families are invited to on Sunday, September 28 from noon to 5 p.m. The afternoon will include special guests, re-freshments and activities, all in-cluded in the museum’s regular price of admission.
