3 examples of gamification/GH
1. Gamification of the car insurance● The mobile application tracks driving
habits of the insurer and transforms it into insurance fees.
● The safer the insurer drives, the lower is the insurance fee for the car.
● The idea and the draft design by D. Pollak (my Msc. student :) )
● The next thing: Gamification of the health insurance based on the physical activity (in the design phase)
2. Language learning as a game
● Duolingo is keeping me
engaged for more than a year
● It says I can understand 35% of
Italian or 1200 words
● Daily streaks - due to the
characteristics of the brain
(forgetting)
3. Family daily chores as a gameManaging a group of 3 can be …
… challenging
(helmet strongly advised!)
Daily chores:
- “It’s not my turn”
- “I don’t want to”
- “It’s boring”
- Insert another excuse
3. Family daily chores as a game
Rotating tasks for each day of the week (except Saturday)
Daily achievements (one bee for finished task)
Monthly reward: A lunch out (together) in a restaurant of the kid’s choice
BONUS: A small edible gift from the shop for a winner
ONLY if each of them achieves 20 bees (TEAM ACHIEVEMENT)
The effect: nobody want to stay behind
The effect: no more ‘Me again!”
Personal achievement is important too.
Gamification/GH in the business
Are the incubators offer GH/GAM courses?
No (in general)
What we have found out… (GH)
Incubators don’t teach start-up how
to growth-hack
What we have found out… (gamification)
Incubators teach start-ups how
to … play :)
Where can you learn more about it?
1. First, check where you are
Self assesment tool: www.engaging-project.eu

… and become a growth-hacker/gamifier
“In the enGaging online course, there are no lectures. It’s about acting as if.”
Yes, the course is gamified!
And we have moar!
BlueRabbit !
Yes, the course is gamified even more!
A question for you...
And how would you implement growth hacking and
gamification techniques in your business?
“I’m not growth-hacker, I’m just running my business in a
playful way”
Thank you!

Where do I use gamification mechanics?

reporting, coordination… ○ Autonomy: the assignments are related to
their companies
● Courses: levels (basic, advanced, pro)○ Journey: from self-study → exam → certificate
→ individual coaching to apply it in company
