Grinnell College baseball brought in another outstanding first year class that includes 10 new student-athletes with interest in playing baseball. Coach Hollibaugh on the class of 2020: “This group is athletic and will help bolster the depth of our team this spring. With hard work, this class will be outstanding while having a chance to compete for a championship every season!” 25 players return (21 letter winners) from the Midwest Conference 2016 Southern Division Champion.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND: Czajkowski graduated Summa Cum Laude, was a Highest Honors student in English, World Language and Social Studies. Was a member of National Honor Society and helped with projects around school and in community. He volunteered for Miracle League of Michigan for kids with disabilities. He did internships at Wayne State School of Medicine Anesthesia Department and was a Summer Camp Counselor for Jason Thompson Baseball.

BASEBALL BACKGROUND: Kory was a four year letter winner and senior captain. He was also Academic All-Catholic League, Academic All-District and was All-District Tournament Team. He was the recipient of Ted Christie award for overall team play and sportsmanship, helped win school’s first district title in high school. Participated in following club teams: three years for Jason Thompson Baseball, participated in Cooperstown Dreams Park Tournament, USSSA World Series and Cal Ripken Tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC, two years for Oakland Predators Baseball Club and two years for Motor City Baseball Club. Carson was his team’s MVP his Senior Year, was Team Offensive Player of the Year his Junior Year. Carson was First Team All League his Senior Year and Second Team All League his Junior Year while being named Honorable Mention his Sophomore Year. Carson was a two year captain for his high school team. Carson played Travel ball with the Crushers, Lightning, Thunder, BAT Lumberjacks, Team Kado, ASA, CCB Elite and Palomino White Sox. He attended the following showcases -Stanford Camp, Headfirst Honor Roll Camp in Sacramento, Top 96 Camp and the 17U Perfect Game World Series.
