! The SOS Walk is coming soon in two weeks, to be exact. That’s two weeks to sign up and see what we can do to support our local food pantries. It’s 25 years since

the SOS (“Stamp Out Starvation”) began in Massena as a joint effort of clergy and congregations associated with the Greater Massena Ministerial Association. It has been a wonderful way for our various Christian Churches to cooperate in supporting a corporal work of mercy. So keep an eye out for “SOS Walk” signups and appeals for support. October 29th is the day, and I will walk again along with my brother priests, as well as clergy from neighboring Christian congregations and we’ll all appreciate whatever support we can get, and seeing as many of you as possible walking with

us! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ~Fr. Mark!

SMALL BASE GROUPS !

! Did you know that there are a number of Small Base Groups? Also known as Small Base Christian Communities. (Gatherings of Catholics who meet in

small groups regularly, ostensibly to study the truths of the Catholic Faith, to deepen their spiritual life and to support one another in their walk of faith.) The Church has grown from a group of disciples. Jesus

began with just 12 Apostles. Here in the Greater Mas-sena Catholic Community we have a number of groups that meet at different times and days, and are always

welcoming new members. If you are interested in delving deeper into the message of Christ giving and receiving support as you learn more about the story of

salvation by sharing contact the Offices at 3157692469 to find out the day, place and time that would best suit your schedule.!
