Conclusion:
s C(/ of /ld 2epublic) 3ucaro should be informed of situations that *nd their !ay
into the media immediately. 4e has a ma+or impact on the image of a company and
the many subsidiaries they have. There is obviously a lac of approval throughout thecompany so !hen situations lie this occur most of the damage is already done and
pretty much out of reach of repairs.
/ld republic needs to start by maing their subsidiaries report communication
decisions to them for approval) because !hatever is done by the subs re5ects the
entire company. This suggestion might minimi-e this ever happening again. s for
3ucaro response) he should publicly do some damage control) starting !ith
condolences for the family0s loss) and revoing the claim for money to *& the trucs
damages. 4e might mention the lac of approval in decisions being made and mae a
statement mentioning that the company is *&ing the lac of control. 4e also shouldmention Ms. Lang0s right to no! more information about her mother0s death !ithout
retaliation from Great West Casualty. This situation could have been handled in a
complete di%erent manor !ith much more class and respect for the grieving family.
