GRAND PRIX WEEKEND

Members’ PassesYour 2015 annual BRDC Member and guest passes will give you General Admission to the circuit and infield access over the Grand Prix weekend. As in previous years your guests will only be able to access the BRDC Clubhouse and Farm areas once you, the Member, have swiped your pass at the turnstiles. If you are unable to attend the Grand Prix, your guests will not be allowed entry to the Clubhouse or Farm.

If you would like to purchase additional guest passes these are available at any time but ordering by Friday 12 June would be appreciated in order to guarantee you receive them in good time ahead of the Grand Prix weekend.

Tickets for ChildrenAs has been widely publicised, Silverstone has reviewed its pricing policy for children’s tickets this year. As a result there is now no charge for children aged 10 and under to attend the Grand Prix on any day. They will however still require a ticket so please indicate on the attached form how many children’s tickets you will require. Prices for tickets for children aged 11–15 are on the booking form.

Grandstand SeatingThere is no charge for Members to sit in the Clubhouse or Farm grandstands. The charge for guests on race day only has been held for a fifth year. Please note, however, this year we will be introducing a higher “weekend rate” for tickets purchased during the weekend.

Car PassesYour annual Member’s car pass will give your car access to the BRDC Members’ infield car parks. There are no spare passes for the Members’ infield car park that can be offered to Members guests. Please remember that Member’s car passes are non-transferable. If your guests are travelling independently you can apply for a car pass for the external car parks on the enclosed booking form. There is no charge for these but the supply is limited so Members will only be allowed one per Member and they will be issued on a first-come first-served basis. Cars displaying these passes will be directed to the closest car park to the circuit with space available at the time of arrival and appropriate for the direction of approach.

Disabled ParkingDisabled car parking will be at the Farm where there will be a dedicated buggy pick-up and drop-off service. Disabled car parking passes should be requested on the enclosed booking form. There is no disabled parking at the Clubhouse.

Pit Lane WalksParticipation in the ever popular BRDC pit lane walks is still subject to confirmation and they are not guaranteed to take place. As in previous years if tickets are available they will be allocated by ballot. The Grand Prix booking form lists the anticipated pit lane walk times and gives you the opportunity to request spaces on each in order of preference. Members will be restricted to one pit lane walk each over the Grand Prix weekend, and initially tickets will be limited to four per Member. Applications will be drawn at random and first choices will be allocated until all available spaces are filled whereupon second, third and fourth choices will be applied.

Further information will be communicated to Members when known. If you are successful in the ballot, tickets will be available to be collected from the Clubhouse prior to each walk. Transport to the Wing for the pit walks will be by bus from the Clubhouse.

BuggiesAs in previous years, there will be a dedicated buggy service for Members and their guests between the Farm, Campsite and the Clubhouse.

Privilege TicketsMembers have the opportunity to purchase additional ‘privilege’ tickets, these are public tickets which are sold by Silverstone at a 20% discount to Members of the BRDC. These tickets will not gain access to the BRDC Clubhouse or Farm, but the bearers of them will be allowed to enter the BRDC campsite if accompanied by a Member.

The prices are as follows (and are inclusive of the 20% discount):

CateringThere are two options for catering in the BRDC areas. Pre-booked sit down meals at the Clubhouse or more informal food at the Farm which does not require pre-booking.

Clubhouse cateringYou are strongly advised to book your meals for the weekend in the Clubhouse marquee on the attached booking form to avoid disappointment.

Lunch at the Clubhouse will again be served on all three days from a ‘Chef’s Table’. Wine and drinks with meals will be available to purchase on the day.

Clubhouse opening timesDuring the British Grand Prix weekend the BRDC Clubhouse will be open at the following times:

HelicoptersHeli-Air will manage all helicopter air movements at the circuit again this year. Arrangements for this year are different to previous years so please contact Heli-Air on 01895 835 899 or email harriet@heliair.com for further information.

CampsiteThe Members’ Campsite is particularly popular over the Grand Prix weekend and early booking is advised. Please remember that the campsite is for Club Members and their accompany guests only and you, the Member, must be present for the weekend. Failure to comply with the Club Rules on this matter may place your membership of the BRDC in jeopardy. Please refer to your Members’ yearbook for clarification of the Rules.

The only exception to the aforementioned rule is the F1 drivers’ compound where those non-Members staying are paying for the privilege.

The campsite will be open for the Grand Prix from Tuesday 30 June until Tuesday 7 July 2015. The shower block will be open between these dates for Members and their guests. Your BRDC passes will operate the swipe system on the shower block doors.

All motorhomes/caravans must display a Grand Prix motorhome pass before you will be allowed access through the main gate.

Shop

The BRDC shop will be open at the Clubhouse for all three days of the Grand Prix and will stock the new Star Editions range.

BRDC FarmThe marquee at the Farm will be two storeys again this year offering comfortable seating under cover, a licensed bar and good quality food.

Farm CateringAs an alternative to the Clubhouse, do not forget that we have a varied selection of hot and cold food on offer at the Farm throughout the day. From first class fresh coffee brewed upon your arrival at the circuit, through midday nibbles to a full fresh lunch, there is something for everyone.

SUNDAY NIGHTIf you don’t have to race away after the Grand Prix, do consider adjourning to the Farm. The Wimbledon Mens’ Tennis final will be screened and as the evening approaches our resident DJs will be on hand to liven things up, should the atmosphere call for it.
