'So it is written that the Christ would suffer and on the third day rise from the dead' Luke 24:46 We are rapidly approaching Lenten season and as a Council like most months we will be called upon to serve. This time of year we are asked to prepare and serve our brothers and sisters a weekly Lenten meal. The Parish continues to grow and so our undertaking to feed the parish each Friday will take many hands. We all try to reflect and contemplate what we are going to give up or service you may Provide during lent I would suggest thinking about serving our parishioners at our weekly meals or perhaps assisting with the Stations of Cross. On another note its hard to believe our fraternal year is already past the half way mark and soon we will begin A new year. Over the next couple of months the nominating committee will be working on the next slate of Officers to step up and lead the council. I would ask that during your prayer time that you would think and Pray on becoming a leader, and if not you then help us recognize the individuals that may want to fill those rolls. Last but not least we are blessed to have one of the best degree teams in North Texas. This month as in every other Performance of the exemplification ceremonies they never cease to amaze me with their abilities to perform on such An amazing level. The new Ceremonies will be not as traditional as we are use to but the message and the meaning of why We do them will not Change. I and I am sure speak for the entire council would like to thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to making our first degrees so incredibly memorable. We look forward to many more..

Volunteer Appreciation Dinner Once again, our Council stepped up and set-up, prepared meals, served and tore down in support of the Parish Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. Brother Knights doing what we do best.

March for Life 2020 We want to send a special Thank You to Brother Ricky O’Neal for securing a bus to transport Brother Knights and their families to this year’s Hike for Life in Dallas.

Knight of the Month Ricky O’neal

Brother Ricky consistently steps up and volunteers for the Council. This past month he was able to secure a bus to take the St. Mark parish participants to the Hike For Life rally in Dallas. Ricky also serves the parish as an usher, and is seen at many of the Knights events throughout the year.

Family of the Month Mark Stack and Family What doesn’t Brother Mark do for the Council and the Parish. He is devoted to the Right to Life Ministry and was a large part of the success of last month’s Right to Life trip to Dallas. Look for Mark and the Stack family to pitch throughout Lent at the Knight’s Fish Fry, he is the chief Fry Cook!

Rookie of the Month Kevin Curran

Kevin is being recognized this month as Rookie of the Month, not because he is new to the Council, but for his efforts in trying to engage with and energize our younger members. This past month Kevin and father Brett were instrumental in organizing and hosting a social for our “younger” members at the Denton Brewing Co.
