Writing Center

• You can bring your writing to tutors anytime at one of three locations (Bear Down Gym, Park Student Union, and Campus Rec).

• Free 15 min. drop-in appointments are available at all locations. You can find the drop-in tutoring hours here.

• You can schedule free 30-min appointments at the Bear Down Gym.

• Hour-long appointments are fee-based and are also available.

• The Writing Center is part of the Think Tank.

• There is also a Legal Writing Center at the James E. Rogers College of Law for law students (unaffiliated with the Think Tank). Contact Professor Susie Salmon at salmon@email.arizona.edu.

Writing Skills Improvement Program

• WISP offers tutoring appointments for students for free once every two weeks.

• They also offer writing groups for graduate and undergraduate students, writing workshops on select topics (grammar, the writing process, scholarly writing, and research), and a 3-week summer Graduate Writing Institute.

• There is a list of online writing resources on their website.

University of Arizona Libraries

• Contact the librarian specialist for your college or department with questions or to schedule an appointment.

• Request scanned articles and book chapters through document delivery (from UA library) or Interlibrary Loan (other libraries). You can also request books from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan.

• Browse the interactive online tutorials for specific skills, such as searching for research

through the databases, creating citations, and avoiding accidental plagiarism.

• View the graduate students’ page for ways to reserve dissertation rooms, comps exam rooms, and long term study rooms.
