Jr.. to pre- pare a bill, which he will send to the Iygfislature. requiring all elevators which hr.ye been or will be built in this state to have safety devices to prevent them from moving while any of their doors are open or unlocked. Coroner Shrady also proposes to require elevator operators to be licensed before they can obtain work. The many recent fatal elevator accidents haveprompted Coroner George F. Shrady. Jr.. to pre-pare a bill, which he will send to the Iygfislature.requiring all elevators which hr.ye been or willbebuilt in this state to have safety devices to preventthem from moving while any of their doors areopen or unlocked. Passengers Help Guard in a Fight with TwoAssailants.

A fight in a Ninth avenue elevated train at 10o'clock last night frightened women and children,

and when passengers went to the aid of RobertCaldwell, the guard, who was attacked by two
