Eighty campers and thirty two youth counselors and adult leaders participated in what is the most anticipated St. Paul summer event. Each day our campers participated in activities such as swimming, archery, basketball, kickball, four square, canoeing, dancing, gymnastics, cooking, art, and the Aqua Island obstacle course at Callaway Gardens. Each of the afore- mentioned activities challenged our campers physically, or creatively, and all were led by our St. Paul camp staff. Our youth led daily devotions and nightly worship, following the theme, “Rooted in Love,” based on Ephesians 3:17-18… And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. Each morning, our youth counselors gave devotionals, and Sally Key entertained us with the daily news. In the evenings, we were treated to music by the Youth Praise Band, videos by Savanna Sturkie, and scripture lessons by Mitch Blankenship. These events made our nightly worship entertaining as well as spiritually inspiring. Camp is the most anticipated St. Paul summer event for campers because of the energy, talent, love, and devotion our youth counselors bring to it. Their dedication to making our week at camp one that is fun filled, as well as Christ centered, is extraordinary. Without them, camp does not take place. Tales of glory from this year’s camp will abound in the coming months, and at the center of each will be a youth counselor. In the words of our own Miss Minnie, “When I see these young men and women in action, I see the future of St. Paul in good hands.” I concur, Miss Minnie, I concur. Grace
