When Are Alerts Sent?

• Alerts are set at the time when you create then, adjust them – no current option to select delivery time of day

Advanced Alerts• Including:

– Finding multiple words in any order: Valentines + flowers– Synonyms: ~food will return hits for words like recipe, nutrition, restaurant– OR example: book OR toy– OR example: (book OR toy) shop

• Excluding:– Excluding words with the (-) symbol: The Hills -Spencer– Excluding words with the (-) symbol and finding a phrase “BP" –oil spill -

deepwater -Louisiana -treehugger -oil - #oil -twitter– Words when they are in a certain order: “book shop”

• Stemming: Google will stem your word and find all hits related to it, for example “blog” will also return blogging and blogs. To turn off stemming put a + sign in front of the word, example: +blog
