A dancer since the age of 4, Bella Agogo has performed at cabaret shows for over a decade. A professional Egyptian belly dancer, performing at Sinners and the Cedar Tree, Agogo always stays true to who she really is, no matter what costume she is wearing or character she may portray. Honouring the history and the art of burlesque and the many artists who have gone before her, Agogo believes that having fun and a laugh is very much part of her appeal, as well as doing her own thing, as she does so well at every performance. Agogo's professional dance career started by chance. Due to a last minute cancellation at the Tassel Club Show, the only burlesque show taking place in Ireland in 2006, Agogo was available and approached to perform. Buoyed by the opportunity to tread the boards, donned in feathers and glitter, she plucked up the courage to ask to stage a cabaret and burlesque show on a more regular basis. Agogo now produces her own highly successful themed burlesque and cabaret shows. Mexican Day of The Dead Cabarets, Steampunk Cabarets and many collaborations, all very entertaining and visually exciting. Entertaining audiences at festivals and shows all over Ireland and abroad, including the Burlesque and Cabaret Social Club (BCSC), Dirty Circus Galway, Body and Soul, Electric Picnic, Amsterdam Beat Box and Black Box, Belfast, to name but a few. A valued artist, receiving positive comments and appraisal from fans all over Ireland, Agogo manages every aspect of her time and budgets, taking care of herself and resting when required. Ladies have booked her for hen parties, birthdays and private dance classes, empowering these ladies with strength and beauty, the want to find and rediscover themselves through the artistic performance of burlesque. It's not all plain sailing, from falling on stage, things getting caught or stuck, tassels falling off, something breaking or music stopping, it's all part of performing live and not taking it too seriously, but enjoying yourself and building confidence to keep going, no matter what. You will be Gobsmacked when you see this wonderful creative artist who always brings the house down with cheers and applause.
