For those of you who may not know. A Baby Boomer was born between the years of 1946 and 1964.

Since there is an estimated 40 Million plus that are already age 65+, and just today we added an additional 10,000 celebrating their 65th Birthday. In fact, it is predicted that we will be adding 10,000 more each day for the next 19 YEARS!To paint a comparison there are ONLY 13% of Americans that are 65 and older now. So imagine what that percentage will be in 19 years?3

Market Potential Living Longer

Average life expectancy for a 65-year-old American is 17.7 years for a male Average life expectancy for a 65-year-old American 20.3 years for a female. That represents three to fourmore years of life expectancycompared to what the prior generation had at the same age. If you are now 75, you can expect to live another 11 years if you're a man and another 13 years if you're a woman.

The Need Does insurance travel with your client?

The first question you and your insureds should ask if you havent already is

Does Medicare cover you outside of the United States? Lets put that myth to bed by sourcing the Medicare.gov website! Read the first sentence! In most situations, Medicare wont pay for healthcare or supplies that you get outside the United States!

Also, most if not all Medicare Supplements that offer care internationally, limit it to $50,0006

The Need Does insurance travel your client? Non-covered services average cost:

Medical Evacuation - $10,000 to $100,000+

Political Evacuation - $1,000 to $10,000

Repatriation - $6,000 to $50,000

Return of Mortal Remains - $1,000 to $5,000+

MASA - Medical Air Services Association

What we do know is that Medicare, Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplements do not include coverage for these services:Medical EvacuationPolitical EvacuationRepatriationReturn of Mortal Remains

Can your Senior travelers afford these expenses?
