This Sunday, December 1st, marks the start of Advent and a new year in theCatholic Church! Advent is the 4 weeks leading up to Christmas when we prepareour hearts, homes, and families for the celebration of the Incarnation, when God
became man!

John Donahue-Grossman is a gifted story teller who inspires others with hispassionate faith. For more than 30 years, John has served the Kingdom of God asa Religion Teacher, Parish Youth Minister and Retreat Director. His service to theChurch has been honored with an Apostolic Blessing from Pope John Paul II, the
Bishop Sartain Award, the Columbian Squires Award from the Knights of Columbusand he was named Who’s Who among Teachers in America at two separate
Catholic Schools. John earned a Youth Ministry Certificate from Loyola Universityand studied theology at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, Illinois. He has
been married to Laureen since 1987. Together they have 3 adult children and 2grandchildren.

Children's Liturgy of the Word(Ages 5-8)
On Sundays during the 9 am and 11 amMasses from September-May, St. Judeoffers Children's Liturgy of the Word.

Children attending Children’s Liturgy of theWord arrive at Mass in the church with their
parents. After the Opening Prayer, thepriest will call the children forward along
with the Children’s Liturgy team for aspecial blessing, before being dismissed toFranciscan Hall to hear the Readings and
Homily at their own level.
Children’s Liturgy of theWord volunteers are
