Repair/Refurbishment/Re-SprayChairsFor all furniture and event hire companies nationwide,the quality of the chairs supplied is paramount forcustomer satisfaction and the ultimate success of thebusiness. Good quality hire chairs are an expensiveinvestment so it makes sense to ensure they undergo regular refurbishment and maintenance.

Hire chairs live a hard life and during the course of abusy season will regularly suffer from flaking paint(due to water absorption), chips, scratches, brokenspindles and legs. Event Refurb specialise in highquality repair and refurbishment of banquet andconference chairs.

Preparation is the key to successful refurbishment,our experienced staff will carry out any necessaryrepairs and prior to re-spraying, will remove all flaking paint (caused by absorption), feather out allhard edges caused by chips & scratches and finally,de-nib the chair for a good key. This preparationgreatly reduces paint build-up which would otherwise accentuate previous imperfections.

Event Refurb work closely with one of the UK’s leading paint specialists and is able to colour match over 20,000 different shades to suit individual requirements.

After re-spray, the protection of chairs in transit isessential. Event Refurb protect freshly sprayedchairs use plastic chair bags which are durable andre-useable at no additional cost.

When your chairs leave our spray shop, we are confident that they will be in as good, if not better,condition than when you first purchased them.

ChairsNew wood frame stacking chairs as used by themajority of hire and marquee companies within theUK, chairs frames available in 5 colours. With all ourwood frame chairs, interchangeable seat pads allowa wide range of colours to co-ordinate with the themeof the event. All bentwood chair models use thesame size seat pad, again minimising stock levels.

New metal frame stacking chairs available in a variety of frame and fabrics and colours

Refurbished wood and metal frame chairs are oftenavailable for sale at very competitive rates. The second hand chairs we offer for sale have undergoneany necessary restoration and re-spray, makingthem as good as new.

Portable RoadwayReco-Track (T) portable roadway, manufacturedfrom high density polypropylene.

Q. How does the pricing work?A. We offer a simple pricing structure that is based onthe length of time you need the equipment for. Thestandard rate is a 3-day rate (72hrs), this gives youample time to set up the day before and break downand stack the equipment ready for collection afteryour one day event. For hires between 4 and 7 days,our week rate will apply. Long term, seasonal andspecial event rates are by quotation.

Q. What about weekends? Will I becharged the week rate?A. No, weekends (including Bank Holiday weekends)are still charged at the 3 –day rate. You will receiveyour equipment on the Friday and it will be collectedthe following Monday (Tuesday for Bank Holidayweekends).

Q. When should I make my reservation?A. Please book as early as possible, especially for thebusy summer and Christmas periods. We reserve theright to add a premium for orders received less than 7days prior to any event.

Q. What about changes to my order?A. Additions are welcome based on availability. Smalldeletions prior to delivery can be accommodated.Charges may apply for cancelled orders.

Q. How and when do I pay?A. Payment in full is required prior to the commencement of the hire. We accept VISA or Mastercard, debit or credit cards, cash, clearedcheque or BACS transfer.

Q. Is there a charge for delivery andcollection?A. Delivery and collection are charged, rates will bequoted when you place your enquiry/order. Our standard delivery/collection hours are between 8amand 5pm Monday to Friday. If you would rather collectand return the equipment, that’s fine. We will behappy to help load and unload your vehicle at ourdepot.

Bespoke Delivery/CollectionIf delivery or collection is requiredoutside our standard hours, specialarrangements can be made. Pleasecall your local depot for a quotation.

Q. What type of service can I expectwhen the delivery/collection takesplace?A. Standard delivery/collection charges are to an easily accessible ground floor entrance. Our friendlydelivery crew will neatly stack all ordered items in amutually convenient ground floor position, checkthrough the order with you and then ask you to sign adelivery note. Please feel free to highlight any discrepancies at this point so that we can deal withthem quickly and efficiently. Special containers areprovided for china, glassware, cutlery, etc to ensurethat you receive your items undamaged, sparklingclean and table ready.

Event Supply & SetupEvent Hire can provide a completesupply & set-up service for large indoor and outdoor events. Ask yourlocal hire representative for moredetails.

Q. What happens if there is a problem with my equipment?A. We advise that you check all the equipment on theday of delivery. Any problems should be highlightedthe same day to the hire depot so that they can rectifythe problem. All powered equipment is deliveredcomplete with an Operating & Safety Guide and aService Checklist.

Q. What happens if I break, damageor lose equipment?A. Wherever possible, equipment is counted andchecked on site, where that is not possible, yourequipment will be returned to the depot where it willbe sorted and counted. Any items that are found to bemissing, broken or damaged (including weather damage) will be charged for. Be sure equipment is secured when not in use and protected from theweather at all times.

Q. What is my responsibility forequipment return?A. On collection, tables should have legs folded andstacked, chairs should be stacked. China, cutlery andglassware washed and returned to their respectivecontainers (glasses & cups should be placed upsidedown in their crates). Linen should be dry and placedin bags provided. Any LPG appliances should be disconnected (following instructions in the Operating& Safety Guides). Large cooking equipment should befree from food debris and water boilers, urns shouldbe emptied (following instructions in the Operating &Safety Guides).

Equipment should then be stackedand made ready for collection in thesame place that it was delivered to,unless other arrangements havebeen agreed.

Return Dirty ServiceIf you prefer, we will collect equip-ment in a dirty condition and providea chargeable cleaning service.

Q. Who is responsible for the equipment whilst on hire?A. As the hirer you are responsible for all the equipment hired from Event Hire, from the time of delivery through to the time when we collect theequipment. We advise all our clients to arrange adequate insurance to cover the cost of the equipment whilst in your care. We would recommendyou estimate the value at 15 times the hire cost.
