Ilsintech's high quality, low cost Fusion Splice-on Connector (SOC) has become a most

reliable solution to terminate the fiber out in the field for FTTH outside plant.

The FTTH Fusion SOC has a factory pre-polished ferrule and it requires no epoxy and

no field polishing. And the FTTH Fusion SOC utilizes Swift series of the fusion splicers,

such as F1, F1 Plus, S3, and S5 to terminate the connector, and it is compliant with

Telcordia GR-326-CORE. SC, LC, FC and ST connectors are available for APC and/or UPC applications.

ComparisonMechanical & Pre-terminated Cord

Comparison: FTTH Fusion SOC with Mechanical Connector

1. Lower installation cost.- More than 50% cheaper than other fusion splice-on connectors (SOC) and same or lower than mechanical connector. ▶The best quality at low price.

2. Best transmission quality- The quality of fusion splice-on connectors have been verified as the best way in transmission sector (Backbone Network). ex) Swift connector insertion loss= 0.2dB below (average), mechanical connector, insertion loss = 0.5dB

3. Very low Maintenance Cost

- Mechanical connector: Lifespan: 3~5 years. 0.3kgf (3N) of Tensile Strength. Because of drying of matching gel, maintenance service should be required within a year.

Splice trays and protection sleeves are not necessary, which in turn keeps the space neat and open.

1. Neat & well organized

2. Cost save/competitive price - Reduced maintenance cost - No need special cabinet for extra cable storage - Reduced cable cost (G.657)

With FTTH Fusion SOC, it is very easy to maintain uniformity and tidiness.

3. Possible to adopt patch cord maintenance - No need to replace patch cord

- Save Installation Cost - Neat & well organized

Vs Mechanical Connector Vs Pre-terminated Cord (Pigtail)

- Low insertion loss (less than 0.2dB)

- High tensile strength (60N above)

- No skilled labor required

- No extra tools needed

- Operation time : within 2 minutes

- 25% lower than Mechanical Connector

- Installation Cost (FTTH SOC + Swift Splicer < Mechanical Connector)

- Permanent life span (More than 15 years)

- No maintenance required

Comparison FTTH Fusion SOC with the others

QUALITY

- Optimized loss rate (Pigtail has bending loss issue)

- Double-protected splicing point

- Easy work and best performance with Swift fusion splicers

- No extra tools needed

- Operation time: within 2 minutes

- Similar cost but no extra cost (Pigtail needs extra sleeve, cassette)

- Installation cost (FTTH SOC < Pre-terminated cord)

- Pigtail needs extra protection at splicing point, this means pigtail is vulnerable to external environment.
