Our College Prizegiving will take place at the Regent Theatre on Monday 8 December at 7.00 pm. This is a time when we celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of all our students covering the whole spectrum of activities within college. It is also a time when we bid farewell to staff who have served our community over the years and this year we farewell some long serving members of staff. I have already mentioned in the last newsletter that we would be farewelling our long serving Head of Māori, Pa Doug Mohi and our Director of Religious Studies, Mr Mike Delany. Mrs Claire Tippett will also be leaving at the beginning of next year. I would therefore urge all of our whānau, parents and students to make a special effort to attend this Prizegiving to share in the acknowledgements of our students and especially to acknowledge the work of these long serving members of our staff. In some ways it is the changing of the guard when staff members of their length of service leave our college. We have made new appointments to fill some of these positions and we will welcome as our new HOD Māori, Mrs Jamie Wainohu, who will be coming to us from Queen Elizabeth College, and our new Director of Religious Studies, Mr Kieran Udy, who will be coming from St Mary’s in Wanganui. Our end of year programme is listed in this newsletter - all students need to attend school right up to the close of school at 12.30 pm on Friday 12 December. Photos of Student Art Work at right.

NEWSLETTER No 12: 20 November 2014

St Peter’s College celebrates being a Catholic Faith Community, where students, teachers and families work in partnership to develop empowered, self-managing, life-long learners, who live the Gospel values in a changing world.
