Hi Joe & Kim,

It has just come to my attention that there are private mineral rights underSand Creek petition area. They were held by Homestake/Barrick MiningCompanies. When Homestake left the Black Hills they had large tracts of landfor sale along with these mineral rights.

The person who was handling the sale was Margie Winsel Boorda, HomestakeMining Company. The phone number someone had for her was out of date. Hernew number is 925-817-1392 that I was given did not go through.

Steve Kozel, Chief Ranger at the Bearlodge Ranger Station, thinks Barrick(http://www.barrick.com/ContactUs/default.aspx) sold, sub surface mineralrights, - in maybe a large deal severed mineral rights,

Sarah at the Crook County Clerk's Office (307-283-1323) clerk, needsspecific book & page and she will look up, otherwise come inearly and look up. I will plan on looking it up tomorrow morning.
