Intenciones de MisaThe custom of requesting a priest to offer the Mass for

a specific intention, even when one cannot bephysically present at the Mass, is a longstanding

tradition in the Church. This is because the Church considers the Mass as thegreatest possible prayer of intercession insofar as it isthe perfect offering of Christ to the Father by making

present the paschal mystery of his death andresurrection.

You may request a Mass Intention by visiting or calling the Parish Office. Mass Intentions are

Confession on weekends during regularly scheduled hours has

resumed as of May 30. As usual, priests are also available for

Confession by appointment and any time upon request.

When we think of being good stewards, we may think that God is

asking too much of us when He calls us to generously share our time, talent,

and treasure. However, we must remember that we are not “owners” of anything, we are merely “stewards” of

the gifts God has given us. All He is asking is that we give back a small

portion, in gratitude, of what He has already given to us.

generosamente nuestro tiempo, talento y tesoro.

2020 Campaign

POPE FRANCIS COMPOSES A PRAYER TO OUR LADY, HEALTH OF THE SICK, TO IMPLORE HER PROTECTION DURING THE COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS EPIDEMIC.

O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick.At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need.We are certain that you will provide, so that,as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.Help us, Mother of Divine Love,to conform ourselves to the Father’s willand to do what Jesus tells us:He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us,through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.

We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

Act of Spiritual CommunionSpiritual Comunion Prayer

Spiritual Communion is an ardent desire to receive Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament. The

most common reason for making an Act of Spiritual Communion is when a person cannot

attend Mass. Acts of Spiritual Communion increase our desire to receive sacramental

Communion and help us avoid sin.My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the

Most Holy Sacrament.I love you above all things and I desire to receive

you in my soul.Since I cannot at this moment receive you

sacramentally,Come at least spiritually into my heart.

I embrace you as if you were already thereAnd unite myself wholly to you.

Never permit me to be separated from you.Amen.

Living the Liturgy Inspiration for the Week

The flesh is our old self of yesterday and the one we left

behind in baptism. It is the self of doubts and fears, sin and error,

reluctance, untamed passion, and errors in judgment. It is also the self of missed opportunities and roads untraveled. Although we

were baptized many years ago, every day is another day to live,

not according to the flesh of yesterday with its regrets and

misgivings, but rather to live the life of the spirit of today and

tomorrow. The burdens of our personal baggage and of life

itself can weigh us down. The love of Jesus Christ and the life

of the spirit can pick us up, refresh us, and provide us with the hope for new opportunities

and discoveries. Because we have been baptized in Christ,

we need not be anxious about what we did or did not do yesterday or anxious about

what will come tomorrow. We need only to seek out the love

that is before us, around us, and in us and learn.

nosotros y aprender.
