I), located at 2950 S. Maryland
Parkway, for a m
edical appointment.
At the completion of the appointm
ent, Officer N
guyen escorted Ganci through the parking lot
back to his unmarked patrol car. There w
as a large, white C
hevrolet Silverado crew cab pickup
truck stopped in the parking lot. The truck was running w
ith the driver’s door open. The driver of the truck w
as standing at the rear of the truck looking for an item in the truck bed area.
Ganci, w
ho was w
earing belly chains and leg shackles, fled from O
fficer Nguyen, got in the
Silverado, and drove away north through the parking lot. As G
anci fled the area, Officer
Nguyen fired three rounds from
his handgun towards the stolen truck, striking the driver’s side
passenger door and window
. One of the rounds struck G
anci in the left triceps area. G
anci continued northbound on Maryland Parkw
ay. Northbound traffic w
as stopped at Vegas Valley D
rive due to a red traffic light. Stopped in traffic was a Las Vegas M
etropolitan Police D
epartment (LVM
PD) prisoner transport vehicle occupied by tw
o LVMPD
officers and a prisoner. G
anci passed the marked LVM
PD vehicle, and struck the left rear panel of a black
Nissan sedan w
hich was also stopped in traffic. The collision caused the N
issan to strike a red C
adillac sedan, which then struck a red H
yundai sedan. G
anci reversed his vehicle and ramm
ed the Nissan three m
ore times in an attem
pt to escape. G
anci then drove forward and ram
med the driver’s side door of the C
adillac. Ganci again
backed up and drove forward, striking the open driver’s side door of the H
yundai, which
caused the door to bend towards the driver’s side front quarter panel. After ram
ming the
Hyundai door, G
anci was able to get by all traffic and continue to flee northbound on M
aryland Parkw
ay. Follow
ing the shooting, Officer N
guyen got into his white, unm
arked Ford Crow
n Victoria, equipped w
ith lights and siren, and pursued Ganci. The pursuit lasted for approxim
ately 13 m
inutes. The path of the pursuit entailed numerous m
ain streets through the Las Vegas valley.

ue to the time of day, the streets w
ere crowded w
ith motorists. At tim
es, the speeds of the pursuit w
ere in excess of 80 miles per hour. G
anci showed no regard for the safety of others
as he drove at high rates of speed and cut across numerous streets. Eventually, m
arked patrol units assisted in the pursuit. G
anci drove to the corner of Main Street and C
arson Avenue where the truck ran out of gas
and stopped. G

into custody
by several

a vehicle that was travelling
south on Maryland Parkw
ay before stopping at a red traffic light at Vegas Valley Drive. Three
distinct gunshots were heard. As the light turned green, a w
hite pickup truck travelling north on M
aryland Parkway w
as seen rear-ending cars stopped in the northbound lanes.
The vehicle with the dashboard cam
era made an eastbound turn and pulled into a 7-Eleven
parking lot and faced west to capture the incident. The driver of the w
hite pickup truck ramm
ed the stopped vehicles, backed up and then drove forw
ard, again hitting vehicles as it continued north on M
aryland Parkway.

aryland Parkway to w
ash and detail a vehicle that belonged to an em
ployee who w
orked at the business. Snovitch parked his white pickup truck
in the front of the business and exited his vehicle. Snovitch walked to the back of his truck to
get a towel, and a m
ale (Gregory G
anci) imm
ediately entered his truck and closed the driver’s side door. G
anci fled the parking lot in the truck, and Snovitch chased after him on foot.
Snovitch stated he saw an officer (O
fficer Nguyen) fire three shots at G
anci as Ganci fled the
parking lot. Snovitch stated he had two firearm
s in his vehicle, one handgun in the center console and the other w
as located under the driver’s seat. Snovitch said Ganci drove to the
intersection of Vegas Valley Drive and M

here he collided with a dark
colored vehicle. Snovitch ran to the intersection and caught up to G
anci. Snovitch stated he observed Ganci
strike several more vehicles at the intersection. Snovitch saw
a police van at the intersection and yelled for help. Snovitch stated the officers did not get out and help him

ately 0850 hours, Pelletier had arrived the Mission Treatm

enter of Las Vegas at 2887 S. Maryland Parkw
ay where he w
as receiving treatment.
Imm
ediately upon pulling into a parking stall and exiting his vehicle, he thought he heard what
sounded like three gunshots. Pelletier was standing on the northw
est corner of the intersection of M
aryland Parkway and Vegas Valley D
rive. The gunshots sounded as if they had ricochet in his direction, so he got dow
n to the ground. Pelletier then turned his attention tow
ards the 7-Eleven convenience store where he believed
the gunshots had originated. Pelletier then observed approximately five to six vehicles at the
intersection he believed were involved in som
e type of incident. Pelletier then noticed a large, w
hite Ford F-250 pickup truck that appeared to be ramm
ing other vehicles. Pelletier referred to the pickup truck as “B
igfoot” ramm
ing other vehicles in an attempt to break free. The truck then
travelled northbound on Maryland Parkw
ay at a high rate of speed. Pelletier described the driver of the w
hite Ford F-250 (Gregory G
anci) as a Caucasian m
ale in his 50s, heavyset, with
a large white and gray beard. Pelletier observed an LVM
PD prisoner transport vehicle stopped
at the incident. Shortly after, Pelletier observed an unmarked (LVM
PD) vehicle stop at the

guyen) continued northbound on Maryland Parkw
ay in pursuit of G
