GLOBAL WARMINGFOOD WASTE

We throw away one third of the food we buy.

Nearly one billion peo-ple are malnorished, and could be fed by less then a quarter of the food that is wast-ed in the US, UK and Europe.

Europe has more than three times more food than they need, while the US has around four times more food than they need.

The US wastes 34 million tons of food each year.

4 million people in the UK, 43 million in Europe and around 35 million in the US suffer from food poverty.

The worlds food waste is enough to feed 3 billion people.

• Don’t throw Food Away !- Soft fruits can be made into smoothies, or pies. - Vegetables that are begining toWither can be made into soup.

• Buy only what you need !Buy loose fruits and vegetables instead of prepacked, so you can take only as much as you need.

• Serve small amounts !Only serve small amounts of food at a meal time, with the under-standing that everybody can come back for more once they have finished they’re dish. This is espacially useful for a family with chil-dren.

•Use your leftovers. Instead of throwing your leftovers away, use it for tomorrow’s meal.
