Flemings celebrate 150 years tradingwith new £1.1m Expansion

The new investment incorporates water harvestingsystem, increased welding capacity and capability including roboticwelding to cope with the higher volume of products coming throughthe factory as well as accommodating the larger machines that arecontinually being added to the Fleming Range. A large proportion ofthe project cost has been dedicated to upgrading the productfinishing process with a major factor in the factory design for thenew facility being more modern processes for product preparationfor cleaning, spraying, heat curing and finishing too further improvethe finished machine quality and durability.

New Stores department - Over the past few years the demandon our store/spare parts department has grown at a phenomenalrate. The new stores department will increase in size by over 400%with direct e-mail, fax and phone communication.

George Fleming and Jonathan Leckyvisited the region to explore the possibilities and after longdiscussions on what were required for the market, with some re-design work to suit the requirements of the customer’s market aswell as French legislation, a deal was struck to supply a substantialquantity of Fleming Grass Toppers into the French Market.

Tub Diet FeederDesigned to suit smaller cattle units with narrow passage ways,producing a fast and efficient mix with the capability of taking roundbale silage. Slurry tankersDue to customer demand Flemings have increased their range ofvacuum Tankers in both directions; the initial range included 1300gal, 1600 gal and 2000 gal. Tanks. For 2012 an 1100 gal tanker and2300 gal recessed tanker will be available. All tankers have a highspecification Battioni pump, all tanks are welded internally as well asexternally with internal surge baffles and an anti-corrosion coatingapplied to the inside of the tank for longer life. All tanks above 1600gal are available with sprung drawbar with extra baffles 11000LBattioni pump, sprung drawbar and internally painted for extra life.
