As the daughter of a librarian and an IBM software consultant, Carolyn Capern developed an early appreciation for the parallel worlds of storytelling and technology. She started blogging in 2005, and while writing across multiple websites and multiple states over the years, she has never looked back.

In April 2012, Carolyn teamed up with Greg Trujillo to start CT Social, a digital marketing agency. In her role as Digital Storyteller, she has served as social media strategist for the Rethink Homelessness campaign and the Harbor House of Central Florida Purple Purse campaign.

Carolyn’s writing work has been published by the Orlando Business Journal, the International Association of Business Communicators, Central Florida Top 5, Google Plus Daily, and more. In March 2015, Carolyn contributed to the writing team for Finding Their Way Home: Rethinking Homelessness for Veterans in Central Florida, a report released by the Central Florida Regional Commission on Homelessness to announce a historic reduction in Veterans homelessness.

Greg Trujillo has been a technology geek since he was a juvenile time traveler. As he moved forward through time, the passion grew, so turning it into a profession was an easy choice.

In April 2012, Greg partnered with Carolyn Capern to form CT Social, a digital marketing agency offering social media, website development, and brand marketing services. As Chief Marketing Technologist, Greg has developed interactive websites for more than a dozen Central Florida organizations, including the newly revamped Central Florida Top 5, and served as social media strategist for the Rethink Homelessness campaign and the Harbor House of Central Florida Purple Purse campaign.

Greg also served as the interim Interactive Project Manager at GoConvergence Digital in the summer of 2012. While there, Greg oversaw projects for clients including BJC Hospitals, Cirrus Aircraft, and the interactive displays at the USS Intrepid museum in New York City.

Jeff Sharon is a Course Director in the New Media Journalism Master of Arts Program at Full Sail University. Before joining Full Sail, he worked for his alma mater, the University of Central Florida, producing and hosting a weekly sports magazine show covering UCF sports. Before that, Jeff served as Sports Anchor and Reporter for WNEG-TV, the former CBS affiliate in Northeast Georgia.

In his spare time, Jeff also taught at Toccoa Falls College and Piedmont College. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Radio and Television with a Minor in Political Science from the University of Central Florida, and earned his Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. In addition to teaching, he currently works as a freelance play-by-play sportscaster.

Chrissie Scelsi is the principal of Scelsi Entertainment and New Media Law with offices in Orlando and Port Charlotte, Florida, where she focuses her practice on entertainment, intellectual property, internet, technology, and business law. Known as Professor Josh on social media, he currently works at Valencia College as an instructional designer helping build online courses, train faculty on technology, and solve the Blackboard problems of the world. Josh is an Associate Faculty teaching Educational Technology in the EPI program, Social Networking for Job Search and Student Success. He’s have taught online, hybrid, or face-to-face for the past nine years and worked in higher education for over fifteen years.

Josh is actively involved in Social Media Club and various technology related groups in Orlando, and has presented at numerous national conferences on Assisted Technology, Social Media in Education, Millennial Generation, Web 2.0 Technology, and various other topics. He helps plan the Florida Bloggers and Social Media Conference (FLBlogCon) and mentor at Startup Weekend Orlando, and he’s on the Board of Directors for Valencia’s Foundation and various other collegewide committees.
