If you were there for the first Reflection, you will know how exciting and encouraging this new event is and will already have October 19, 2009 marked on your calendar. If you missed the last one, don’t make the same mistake twice! Mark your calendars today. The event will be held in the round room at FCC at 6:30 on Monday evening, October 19. Please bring a dish to share and an open heart. The topic for this event is “Whose Call Are You Tak- ing?” The personal talk uses Joshua 24:15 and Romans 12:1-2 as a foundation. In this age of go, go, go, this topic will surely resonate. This gathering for all women, will be held quar- terly October 19th, January 18th and April 19th. (These are all Monday evenings.) Each Reflection includes a carry-in dinner, sto- ries and testimonies of how God is at work in the lives of FCC's own women, time to share and interact with others and practical ways to reflect God's glory in our daily lives. For more information, contact Sheila Lundy @ 282-6590. We hope to see all FCC women at this event. Bring a friend and join us in reflecting God’s glory. The Associated Ladies for Milligan and First Christian Church Women’s Ministry will be presenting “Spaghetti for the Soul,” the 2010 ALM’s Ladies Conference on February 27, 2010, from 9 am to 4 pm. The conference will feature award-winning singer, songwriter, speaker and author Kathy Troccoli, along with speaker, author and teacher Ellie Lofaro. Highly sought-after, Troccoli has ministered

to millions of women through various national conferences. She was selected in 2003 by the readers of Today’s Christian Woman magazine as one of the “Most Influ-ential Christian Women in America.” As a frequent guest on Christian radio and television, Lofaro deftly handles the Word of God and steadily directs her audiences to consider what concerns them in light of God’s timeless truths. With her trademark quick wit and convincing demeanor, she pairs Biblical principles with life’s deeper questions. Mark your calendar, share the date with friends, and plan to attend this conference. You are sure to be blessed!

Also, mark your calendar for our next Reflec-tion, Monday, October 19th, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Round Room at FCC. Bring a covered dish to share, and enjoy hearing some inspirational ideas from our speaker on building your faith through relationships with the topic, “Whose Call are You Taking?”

Amber Stewart presented a very relevant picture of how

things. For example, while we are curling our eyelashes and putting on our mascara, we should “set our minds on things above and not on earthly things” (Colossians 3:2). One of the most memorable examples was this verse to meditate upon as we apply our lipstick. “Set a guard over my mouth O Lord, keep watch over the door of my lips.” Psalm 141:3. And finally, as we get dressed each day this verse could come to mind. “Therefore as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Colossians 3:12

The evening included a fantastic covered dish meal and a sweet time of fun and fellowship. Rebekah Ensley closed the
