This course is designed to develop an understanding of financial institutions and their relationship to public policies, management policies and to the Philippine financial system. Included are the studies on the different kinds of banks in the Philippines, their functions and how they are being organized and managed. It also covers the different non-bank financial and international financial institutions. Discussed in detail is the history, functions, nature, importance, governing laws and relationship of the institutions to the Philippine economic and financial system.
