HER STORY:

VINITA SHIVNOI

Married to a teacher’s family in Moradabad, she was subject to the most extreme of human torture limits. Beaten and humiliated for giving birth to 4 daughters, she wasn’t allowed to eat, was forced to confide in a room of 4X4 and was forced to prostitution.

None came to her rescue. Not even her own parents. Helpless and unable to bear more, she hanged herself on 4th of December, 2009.

Alexis Murphy

Alexis was a Germany based techie who’d come to India for her project. Committed to Ashok Dixit, her associate, she’d planned to settle in India. She was physically assaulted by her in laws for not being a servant to them. When she retaliated, her husband broke her nose and stabbed her with a screwdriver. Her case is still pending in the supreme court.
