The FIX are the latest new band to make it big in America. In this exclusive interview we ask them

how they did it! They picked up 2 awards in the MTV Music awards. For best newcomer and best

international band. They beat the likes of JLS, Black eyes peas and Radiohead. We speak to them

to find out more about them!

Q&A with The FIX

Hi The Fix! I would like to start by saying congratulations on the award. You must be over the

moon!

Thank you, we were as shocked as you look now too. We are just very happy and would like to thank

all of our fans.

Q: You have had great success in America but I think its fair to say not as much success over here

in the UK, why do you think this is?

A: Well were not sure! I think its our style of music. Everyone over here is used to this style or maybe they just don’t like us. In America we are

different to what they are used to.

Q: Do you mind not being as popular here as in America?

A: Not really. It’s nice to come back home and not be recognised as much, we can just chill out over

here. Ofcourse we would like to be well known

here too but we do get our fair share of people saying ‘Wow arnt you the fix’, so were happy.

Q: Do you have any plans to do a tour over here in the UK?

A: Not sure yet, we have had some talks but we aren’t sure if it would be a success over here. It would be great if we could make it big here too

though.

Q: You are both quite young, how did you get into the music industry at just 17 years old, a lot of

people are saying how hard it is in this day and age.

A: We put our stuff up on MySpace and YouTube for free. We had so many views and downloads so we decided to send some of our stuff out to radio

stations and Sony heard it and signed us up. It was quite lucky really.

Q: How did you two meet and form the group?

A: We are both from the same school. We used to make music for fun but then people started telling us we we were good. So when we finished school

we tried to get known on MySpace and stuff.
