TYPES OF THE COMPETITION SYSTEM

League

Knockout

LEAGUEIn league, the teams are divided into two groups for example Group A and Group B. Then, there are several rounds in the system namely; First Round Quarter-Final Round Semi Final Round Final Round

Next, the champion from both Group A and Group B will compete in the final round. The 3rd and 4th placing is decided in the semi final round

KNOCKOUTThe team that loses a match will be kicked out from the game.

Therefore, knockout rounds take less time compared to league system

The winning team will continue the game until the final round.

POINTS GIVENFor League system; 3 Points is awarded for a match won. 1 Points awarded for both team if draw 0 Points given to a losing team. For knockout; There are no points used as the system doesnt required it.

TO WINFor league system, according to the points system applied; For knockout system;

The team with the most point wins.

If there is a tie, team changes side and extra 10 minute is added. If there is still a tie, 5 penalty shots will be taken by each team

If there is a tie, the numbers of goal the number of goals penetrated OR The result of the previous match is taken into account.

If there is still a tie, a Golden Goal will be use

HOW TO COUNT NUMBER OF MATCHES FOR LEAGUES SYSTEM? N (N-1)/2 where N = number of teams to take part

For example: 6 teams taking part = 6 (6-1)/2 = 6x5/2 = 30/2 = 15 matches or Write the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Discard the highest number, 6 Combine all the numbers Amount obtained was 15 This means that if the six teams that took part in the tournament, the number of matches be prepared is 15.

HOW TO COUNT THE NUMBER OF MATCHES FOR KNOCKOUT SYSTEM? EXAMPLE: There are 37 teams competing, how many matches are

there to be played? the first round would include 27 "byes" meaning ten

people only would compete. this round could therefore eliminate 5 people leaving 32 competitors. 32 competitors then reduce by half each round until you have an eventual winner. this would mean a total of 41 matches.
