So here we are after threeissues of the FIA/IOU Supplier Directoryand it’s a time for us to ask you – theclub owner – what can be done toimprove this service to you? The wholepoint of the FIA/IOU Supplier Directory isto give a voice to independent operatorand most importantly to add value toyour FIA membership. So are we hittingthe mark? As a club owner myself, Iknow that if value outweighs cost, then itmakes sense. Is this making sense?

More specifically, and even though it’sdelivered for free – are you getting thetype of discounts and incentives from thesuppliers that are committed tosupporting you? Are there any particularsuppliers or discounts that you would liketo see more of? Are the supplierssticking to their promises? Whatever it is– let us know. Welcome to the third edition of the FIA/IOU supplier directory

Welcome to the latest edition of theFIA/IOU Supplier Directory. I hope youhave taken advantage of the fantasticsavings offered by the FIA Suppliermembers. Feedback from independentoperators has been positive and showsthat the directory is helping to directthem to best offers available to ensurethey can keep costs to a minimum butstill receive the quality products that theyare looking for.

However this is not the only benefit frombeing an FIA/IOU member and I urge you to call a member of the team anddiscuss how we can ensure you get thefull benefits of membership.

Shift into Sports (SIS) has successfullylaunched across the UK with Royal MailGroup. The first wave of promotion byRoyal Mail Group to their employeesoccurred in late April and saw a rush of registrations to the website.

With over 150 FIA/IOU members involvedin the programme they will benefit fromthe marketing and promotion over theforthcoming months.

“It can be difficult for people that aren’t on traditional nine to five shifts to get to gyms,” says Royal Mail Groupoccupational health manager StephenWeston. “SIS will make it easier for those on late or night shifts to livehealthier lifestyles by offering affordablesports sessions.”

It’s not too late to be involved with anoffer for SIS due to the continuedpromotion of the programme to RoyalMail Group staff. Don’t forget this is acontinuous program and over the nextfew months there will be at least twomore corporations joining SIS andpromoting it to their employees, creatinga prospect pool of nearly half a millionshift workers across the UK.
