Mueller Services
Mueller Field Operations, Inc. (MFO) is a wholly owned subsidiary
of Paul Mueller Company that offers complete construction
services with particular emphasis on expanded scope projects
that utilize our construction management, engineering,
procurement, and field integration capabilities.
MFO also provides specialized labor for on-site field-
erected tanks and vessels, equipment installation,
vessel retrofit, vessel repair, and process piping —
this allows us to go beyond the capabilities of our
manufacturing facility.
We have extensive experience in providing on-site
solutions in sanitary design for the food, juice,
dairy, beer, wine, and pharmaceutical industries.
Industrial applications, such as ASME and API code-
stamped equipment, are also available through our
services.
In-house manufacturing of components in our state-of-
the-art facility ensures that all parts such as tankheads,
cylinders, manways, fittings, agitators, and heat transfer
surface are fabricated according to specifications and
coordinated to support our construction schedule in the
field.
From project start to finish, we instill stringent quality control
processes for the design, component manufacturing, equipment
transport, field installation, commissioning, final performance testing,
to project completion. In addition, we offer complete maintenance and
start-up services to ensure our customer’s needs are upheld.
MFO is supported by Paul Mueller Company’s nearly one-million-
square-foot manufacturing facilities, which are centrally located in
Springfield, Missouri, and Osceola, Iowa. Manufactured components
are delivered to the job site by Mueller’s own fleet of trucks.

When it comes to complete system integration, our capabilities allow us
to build any size system in our plant, then disassemble and ship direct
to your facility on our own fleet of trucks. If your project is too large
to ship in one piece or is designed to fit in tight quarters, we offer
on-site fabrication and installation to accommodate your
specialty needs.
We take our customers beyond the design and construction of
one piece of equipment through the development of turnkey
systems, combining our expertise in process heating, cooling,
heat transfer, agitation, and controls. Our process automation
and control systems combine forward thinking and reliability
with flexibility and convenience. Our skilled and versatile
engineering staff enables us to provide our customers with
optimal solutions for their unique applications.

Custom Control Panels
Whether you need a basic equipment control panel or an
advanced PLC-based panel for process control applications in
the most demanding environment, our experienced personnel
have the knowledge and resources to design, build, test, and
integrate the control panel on site. The panels may be equipped
with communication and remote I/O to control hundreds of PLC
inputs and outputs used in industrial applications, high-volume
manufacturing, medical or office settings, and pharmaceutical or
food processing. All of our control panels are built to NFPA-79,
NEC, and JIC standards. Each panel is thoroughly inspected and
tested prior to shipment. We will build to your specifications or
provide you with a complete turnkey solution — whether you
need a single panel or a large production run.
Power Transmissionand Distribution Panels
Mueller Equipment and Controls (MEC) provides complete
panel solutions to control, monitor, and protect your power
system. Using the latest AutoCAD technology, our engineering
design team delivers fast and efficient service from initial design
to system integration. We supply panels that are built to your
specifications or we will design, build, test, and implement
according to your needs. MEC panels are manufactured to the
highest production standards and are thoroughly inspected and
tested prior to shipment. We are a UL 508a approved supplier.

Temp-Plate® Heat Transfer Surface
Mueller Temp-Plate heat transfer surface provides precise, consistent control capability with minimum
pressure drop. Its design provides extremely efficient heat transfer performance more economically than
competitive types of heat transfer surface. Spot welded and inflated channels induce the fluid turbulence
necessary to attain high heat transfer coefficients.
Half-Pipe Coil
Mueller half-pipe coil heat transfer surface handles large
volumes of flow and is suited for high-pressure
applications and low-pressure drop requirements. Half-
pipe coil is ideal for cyclic heat transfer conditions
where heating and cooling cycles occur several times a
day, as it is very resistant to stress corrosion cracking.
Available in a variety of materials, half-pipe coil can
be used for heating or cooling using steam, hot oil,
water, glycol, ammonia, and refrigerants. ASME
code stamping is available.

Dimpled Heat Transfer Surface
Mueller dimpled heat transfer surface is ideally suited for
applications involving high pressure and temperature extremes.
It can be routinely fabricated in an almost unlimited number
of shapes, sizes, and materials to fit any vessel design.
Styles are available for use with almost any type
of refrigerant or heating media.
