Medical Humanities Poster Competition

In every gift card aisle….in every grocery store….in every city across America,

there is a section dedicated to "Get Well Soon" cards. But what if the recipient is suffering from a terminal illness and is not going to get well? What then? They

need an Empathy Card!

The Department of Medical Humanities and Bioethics challenges you to design the perfect Empathy card that not only breaks the “Get Well Soon” mold, but provides genuine support and empathy for our patients with terminal illnesses.

All cards submitted will be turned into posters that will be displayed in the School of Medicine Lobby. The winning posters will be displayed at the upcoming Academy for Professionalism in Health Care in Philadelphia in April 2016.

WELLNESS

Niloofar’s Wellness Tip

My Morning Routine Those of you who spend time on Youtube (like I do!) know how popular “My Morning Routine”

videos are, where vloggers share how they begin their days. Morning Routine (and now “My

Night Routine”) videos are among the most popular on Youtube, but now there’s a whole

website dedicated to the morning routines of successful people around the world. On www.mymorningroutine.com a different person is featured each week in a written

interview about their tips for starting the day off right.

“Dreamed up by Michael Xander and Benjamin Spall in December 2012, My Morning Routine

is an independent online magazine that brings you a brand new, inspiring morning routine

every Wednesday to help set you up for a more productive and enjoyable day.

If you can’t wait a full week, why not dive into our fully searchable archives, featuring 165

morning routines from people living all over the world.”

I highly recommend spending some time looking through the site. It is clean, simple, well-

designed and has lots of interesting ideas you might be able to add to your own life to make

your mornings go a little smoother and set yourself up for success ☺ ~Niloofar
