PCR & COMMUNITY NEWS

PCR BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT Meet Liz Grimberg

Liz Grimberg is an alumna of Our Lady of Mercy School and the Academy of the Holy Cross. She is an active PCR member, and participates in our Yoga, A.C.E., Wednesday Art, NoteAbles, Studio 3F, and Social Skills programs, and enjoys our special events and parties. Liz resides in our James M. Sullivan Memorial House, and serves as Treasurer of the Client Council of Jubilee Association of Maryland.

PCR VOLUNTEERS SPOTLIGHT Meet Luke Shaffer, Jack Sullivan & Molly Tyson

As PCR transitioned to virtual programming, we have been fortunate to have the help of three special volunteers. Jack Sullivan (Georgetown Prep, Class of 2024) and Molly Tyson (Stone Ridge, Class of 2025) have been volunteering with PCR’s Communication Counts program, while Luke Shaffer (Georgetown Prep, class of 2023) has been lending his talents to NoteAbles III. The “joyfulness of PCR members always helps me gain a new and better perspective on life,” says Jack. According to Luke, who enjoys playing music, “PCR members are a comforting crowd to play music with and for.” Molly finds that her participation with PCR is “pretty awesome given that you’re making an impact on someone’s life.” Jack has been volunteering for PCR for 5 years, whether serving up delicious meals at the PCR Holiday Party, or playing in the Long Lost Cousins at the Patricia Sullivan Benefit Dinner. Luke, another member of the

Long Lost Cousins, has been volunteering for PCR for the past 3 years. Molly has attended the Patricia Sullivan Dinner since she was 10 years old, and is happy to be more involved by working directly with PCR members at Communication Counts. “I really like the happy vibe and the happiness associated with the program,” she said.

PLEASE WELCOME PCR’S NEW DIRECTORS

At PCR’s January 19th Annual Meeting, our Board of Directors elected three new members. We welcome Monsignor Charles V. Antonicelli, Liz Grimberg, and Dennis G. Hermonstyne, Jr. We are grateful to them, and to all the members of our Board of Directors, for their leadership service to PCR.
