Q: What is sin?

A. Sin is transgression of the revealed will of God which

teaches that we are to act in perfect holiness from a heart

of faith to the glory of God. Sin is any attitude or desire or

action that explicitly breaks a commandment of Scripture,

or comes from a heart of unbelief or is not done for the

glory of God. 1John 3:4; Romans 5:13; 14:23;

1 Peter 1:16; Matthew 5:48; 1 Corinthians 10:31.

Q: What was the sin whereby our first parents fell from

the state wherein they were created?

A. The sin whereby our first parents fell from the state

wherein they were created, was their eating the forbidden

fruit. Genesis 3:6, 12, 13.

Sunday, February 7th, at 4:30 p.m. we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper and Baptism and have a Commissioning Service for all Ministry Workers.

Counselors, please have your candidates for baptism at the church no later than 4:15 p.m. In this service we are requesting that all who serve in ministry come and be

commissioned for service unto the Lord in 2016. We will also be praying over the saints with health issues, career transition, unemployment, and those who are grieving the death of a loved one.

Please be advised that photographs may be taken during worship services and events by our Photography Ministry. By worshipping with

us, you consent to the church using your image and likeness on our social media website and other publications.

Sunday, February 7th, is the last day to sign-up and pay in the Sanctuary Foyer or Grace Bldg if you plan on attending the Valentine’s Sweetheart Banquet for married couples and

singles, ages 21 years and older. Attire is semi-formal (red and black). Cost is $15.00 per person.

Childcare will be available for $5.00 for one child and $10 for two children or more. Next Sunday, February 7th is also the last day to

sign your children up in The Ark if using childcare.

have a handicapped decal but have mild physical disabilities, please

consider not parking in the handicapped parking slots, as the number

of slots is very limited and should be reserved for the elderly or those

who have limited mobility or significant physical limitations.

Altar Flower Donations

If you would like to donate flowers to be

displayed on the church altar in memory or in honor of a

loved one or for a special event, please follow these

procedures: Complete an Altar Flowers Request Form

located in the Sanctuary Foyer. Indicate any special

instructions on the form (e.g., flower colors, message to be

placed in The Maranatha Experience, etc.). Place the

completed form and your payment of $50 in the

special envelope marked, Altar Flowers. Make checks

payable to Maranatha Bible Church. Place the envelope in

the offering bag or drop it by the church admin office.

Every effort will be made to assign the date requested. You

may take your flowers home after the second or combined

worship service. Please note that flowers donated for

specific individuals are not tax deductible.

enclosed, and your giving number on the envelope and

Rapha Ministry “Go Red” Healthy Heart Awareness Day

Please support the Rapha Ministry and wear Red to their annual “Go Red” event on Sunday, February 21st. This is a Healthy Heart

initiative and Rapha members will be offering blood pressure checks in the Rapha Clinic and providing evidence-based literature in the Sanctuary and Grace building foyers in an effort to reduce and/or

prevent hypertension.

Parents and Guardians Please encourage your children

not to chew gum on the church

campus. We are experiencing gum being

left on the facility floors and also writing on

the floors. Please do not bring food or drink

into the sanctuary unless you have a

medical need. Also, please clean up any

trash you leave behind. We want to honor

God with every aspect of our conduct at the
